ARP 2600 Filter Adaptation - Tonus VCF Eurorack 4012 Module

Published on Nov 29, 2017 gstormelectro

"Audio and Video by G-Storm Electro c.2017

G-Storm announces a new all-analog eurorack module, the Tonus VCF. For a long time I wanted a vintage ARP 2600 synthesizer. Then it dawned on me, all I really wanted was a faithful adaptation of the filter in my eurorack. I'm calling it the Tonus VCF on account that the Tonus ARP logo design was used on the earliest 2600s. Without any further adieu, let’s listen to the Tonus VCF in action!

Great care was taken to keep the Tonus VCF design as close to the original as possible including component selection and transistor pair matching. My modules are painstakingly hand-crafted in the USA in limited quantities. The first units are planned to be available on Reverb.com next week, but my parts suppliers are dealing w/ holiday shipping volumes this time of year. Asking price $200 USD, international shipment available."

0-Coast and Korg SQ-1, Part 3: Dual Sequencing with MS-20 Mini

Published on Nov 29, 2017 MAKEN0ISE

"This short series of videos will explore using the 0-Coast with the versatile SQ-1 sequencer from Korg. The SQ-1 MIDI output connects directly to the 0-Coast’s MIDI input using a simple TRS cable, with no adapters or DIN cable needed.

In this video we use the dual-sequencing mode of SQ-1 to create a more complex sequence for the 0-Coast, then split the two sequences out between 0-Coast and a Korg MS-20 Mini."

Buromaschinen | Problematic

Published on Nov 29, 2017 buromaschinen

"Quick aliasing experiment with bit rate reduction and sine waves, with ITB chorusing/flanging and doppler effect.

Monomachine is the main sequencer and synthesizer with melodies, arpeggios, pads and master FX, machinedrum does percussions and metals, analog4 is the power bass.
Big sky takes care of putting those crystallized sinewaves in an ethereal place.

I love my Mono.

Sampling workflow - Elektron Analog Rytm MKII

Published on Nov 29, 2017 Carl Mikael's Cabinet of Curiosities

"The classic drum machines are dead. Long live the classics.

My interest in making electronic music lies in making unique sounds. The combination of sampling and synthesis gives me huge opportunities to make weird and wonderful sounds on the Elektron Analog Rytm MKII.

Enjoy this video on sampling workflow. Getting sounds of modular, Gameboy and vocals into the shiny (not shiny, actually) new Rytm."
