"After last weeks impromptu post featuring the Roland SH-01A and the Soma Laboratory Lyra-8, we were rather overwhelmed by the response. You said "Do More!". So we took the opportunity to pull out the Roland Jupiter 6 - a classic 80s poly (some say is better than the 8 - runs for cover..)

Anyhow, we also had a Novation Circuit, which has had some excellent updates of the last few months (v 1.6). What do they sound like together?

The answer is pretty good - we think."

THEREMIN & SYNTH - playing with GrandPA - Bastl Instruments

"Here is a demo of how GrandPA sampler can be used with a theremin, connected to the theremin's pitch CV.

GrandPA is a granular sampler in a eurorack format made by Bastl Instruments. It is a powerful little sampler, with an external micro SD card, that let you modulate many parameters with CV. It is a lot of fun with a theremin, i am totally in love with this module!

"2 tracks only improvisation on the Endorphin.es Shuttle Eurorack modular set up as a 2 voice synth, 1st voice played over USB, 2nd tuned by hand using the frequency knob. Built-in Shuttle FX used.
Light EQ and limiting on the master only, rough and ready late night headphone mix.

Barely scratching the surface of this after only a day, so much more to explore but what a sound!"

"This is the last piece of the music trilogy 'Hathaway', 'Lewis' and 'Morse'
They all share a similar theme. D minor, tempo of 69 and instruments and also a lot of sounds are being used again and again, so the three different tracks will hopefully sound same-ish even though they have variations in the chord progressions.
This last track uses the 'SLEEVE' progression known from alot of songs and melodies like 'Green Sleeves', 'Love Song' by the Cure - well, they are almost the same :)

I hope you will enjoy listening to all three track as much as I have enjoyed playing them!"
