Novation Launchpad App - Radical Dubstep Pack

Published on Jun 14, 2018 Electronisounds Audio

"Novation Launchpad App - My Sample Pack Is Out!"
FEATURING: I show the sample pack I made for Novation / Ampify!
This is a *HUGE ACHIEVEMENT* for me, Friends!
** I am so proud to say that I've got a sample pack inside of this app! **

GEEKERY SIDE NOTES: This is also my FIRST video shot entirely in 4k, 60fps which proved a time-consuming-patience-tester, but this video looks pretty darn good I think!!

I used my new iPhone 8+ to do all the filming (ProMovie) *AND* editing (LumaFusion)!

Matrixbrute Does 8-bit Gamer Music

Published on Jun 14, 2018 Kris Lennox

"Short wee illustration of duophonic mode on the MB. Good wee riff. I think the track name is 'The Mansion'. The riff is the best part, so I only recorded it (I added my own ending just to finish it off).

I intentionally kept the sound very bare. Listening back, the bass is probably slightly too soft in the mix on the MB. But that's ok. :)

I may do a series of old game music on synth :) could be fun. And I may try out some of those 8-bit synth modules.

Unsure what happened with the vid - when rendering, there was no black at the top & bottom. I'm not too bothered about changing it, though. It'll do. :)

Disasterpeace's music comes to mind with pieces like this.

PS this was just a single-take performance. I had a spare 10 minutes earlier. Enough time to do a wee recording. :)

All best
Kris"

"The ARP Odyssey is a dual oscillator analog synthesizer and one of the first synths to feature duophonic capability.

The Mark III was introduced in 1978. Mark III's are also the most common models of the Odyssey. The Mark III used ARP's four-pole "4075" filter.

While earlier models had used a simple rotary knob to control pitch bend, The Mark III introduced proportional pitch control (PPC). PPC used pressure-sensitive buttons to control bend up, bend down, and vibrato. ARP included PPC on other instruments, and also offered a kit to add PPC to earlier Odyssey synthesizers.

Mark III Odysseys also have unbalanced XLR outputs, in addition to unbalanced 1/4" outputs.

The Mark III was cosmetically overhauled to feature a redesigned chassis and orange and black color scheme, which was consistent with other contemporary ARP instruments.

Production of the Odyssey Mark III ceased when ARP Instruments declared bankruptcy in 1981.

Over all very good condition but the switch knobs are falling apart and all will need to be replaced. Comes as shown with paperwork. 1 owner non smoker its whole life. The best part about this synth its the first MKIII ARP ever made! #001 ! A real collectors item."

"Dream synth for experimental, industrial and noise musicians. This is an utterly unique instrument that is a secret weapon, and can get you sounds that you just cannot create with anything else. Create sounds that range from thick, evolving synth pads to total environments of sound that are so alive-sounding, morphing and constantly growing that it'll make your head spin."
