SN 3342 or 3347

"What I love about the 700 is that it has it’s own unique tone. It’s timbre is uniquely Japanese, soft, wistful and searing in a way that compliments the bolder, brasher American synths from the likes of Moog, Sequencial Circuits Inc, or Oberheim. It sits nicely in any mix and makes people say “what's that sound, what’s that keyboard?”

Just listen to anything from Kitaro… those beautiful solos are the KORG700.

For a 40+ year old synth it’s incredibly stable… it stays in tune far better then new analogs so it actually makes for a great live solo synth however, there aren’t any pitch or mod wheels - this synth needs to be played!

This unit is fully functioning… in very nice shape cosmetically, it looks fine next to other, newer synths but remember, it is vintage and the toggle switch caps are a bit lose (but they are all there) and the volume fader is a bit scratchy… set it and forget it, which is probably why it’s scratchy, and the wood side are weathered somewhat - all the charm of a good instrument."

Appendage Ribbon Controller with Pressure Controller

"Quick test of the Appendage Ribbon Controller by Scott Stites. This is an old board but he seems to making them again.

http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-...

Added a DIY pressure controller that uses a long FSR beneath the softpot ribbon to control volume. Controller has a built in LFO for tremolo effects. Speed and volume are controlled by the pressure (if desired). Makes for a very expressive controller together. Just need some panels and an enclosure!"

Gestrument Pro - Generative Music with the Variable Phase Arpeggiator and a DIY Resonator

Published on Oct 4, 2018 Gestrument

"In this video, we're taking a look at a generative installation piece that makes use of the Variable Phase Arpeggiator preset in Gestrument Pro as well as a Zither set up as a DIY Resonator.

The Variable Phase Arpeggiator is a generative Gestrument Pro factory preset that makes use of the "phase offset" feature to freely control the timings of each hit in relation to the beat. The amount of Phase Offset for each instrument is controlled by each cursor's position on the x-axis. So, the further you place the cursor from the center of the play area, the further you'll shift the cursor's hit from the beat. This lets users create "human" rhythms and melodies by embracing imperfection and letting go of quantized hits. Every plucked string you hear in this video was generated with Gestrument Pro"
