"The Chroma Polaris was the second synthesizer made by Fender/Rhodes after they took over ARP, following their classic Rhodes Chroma. It has a classic analog ARP-like sound, kind-of tinny but also fat. Sounds can be layered up to 6 voices. It has typical analog synth controls including a cool 'sweep' knob for sweeping through the LFO or analog filter cutoff parameters. It also has a simple real-time sequencer and 132 memory patches.

There's also a nice and colorful layout with sliders similar to Roland Juno synths, membrane push-buttons and a large velocity sensitive 61-note keyboard making the Chroma Polaris a very nice synth. Fully MIDI-equipped, the Polaris will transmit and receive all its edit controls through MIDI as well as the ability to play up to three patches at once."

This bank of sounds was created to be used with the built in sequencer on the OB-6. While you can certainly play them normally via a keyboard, I recommend pressing Play on the OB-6 sequencer before you start browsing through the patches.

BY DEFAULT THE PATCHES WILL INSTALL IN USER BANK 0, PLEASE BACK UP ANY PATCHES YOU WANT TO SAVE BEFORE YOU OVERWRITE THEM WITH THIS BANK.

I’ve included the patches in sysex and MIDI file format, as well as a format that can be loaded via Soundtower Editor for the OB-6 available here:

Roland really did it with the new JUNO-DS OS 2.10
and the new Tone Editor allowing us to make Multisamples!
FLASH has been expanded to 64mb so you can make a ton
of ONE SHOT samples & place them (Vocals, hits, drums, fx, etc)
across the keyboard or do it like me, use high quality long
stereo samples from your favorite vintage & modern synthesizers!
Here are a few examples of the MULTISAMPLE feature in action.
I have loaded a two different multi examples of my own vocals
and really made the JUNO-DS SING! Then I blend the multi's with
Mellotron Choir Patches from the SRX Keyboard Expansion...
My personal Mellotron Choir dream come true! TRY THIS!!!

Recorded into Ableton LIVE with no extra FX! ;)
