Published on Apr 5, 2020 Hunart©

'Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the new Easy Beats series, where I`m just having fun, playing simple beats with an MV-8800 combined with some synths. All recordings are single stereo tracks with little EQ, compression and limiting in post."

Drambo by BeepStreet - Synthesized String sounds

Published on Apr 5, 2020 Ben Richards

"A string patch to show off the softer side of Drambo! All sounds are synthesized with 3 instances in NanoStudio 2. In short, saw or pulse oscillator with vca is fed into layers of short delays in parallel. The delays are modulated by a randomly triggered smoothed random signal (stochastic gate - random modulator - slew limiter). Polyphony is converted to one voice to make use of a vca and filter after the delays. In this video the oscillator Is layered and hard panned left and right to achieve stereo depth."

Could - OP-1 & ZOIA ambient recorded to cassette

Published on Apr 5, 2020 Jogging House

"This is the closing track of my album 'Names'. You can download it via bandcamp: https://jogginghouse.bandcamp.com/alb... and order the limited cassette edition via Mystery Circles: https://mysterycircles.com/cassettes/...

I recorded some sounds from the OP-1 in a textural looper patch I made for ZOIA. And then composed over the resulting ambient textures. All sounds are made with simple drone samples that I loaded into the OP-1s sampler engine.

Then I played the OP-1 through the ZOIA to add delay and reverb. And everything was recorded straight into the Marantz PMD430 in a single take.

Hope you enjoy it"

Studio Electro Jam with various analog synths and the TR808

Published on Apr 5, 2020 Peter Maas

"Been putting another electro track together using mostly old school analog equipment like the roland TR808, SH101 and Jupiter-4. Chord stabs from the crumbar bit-one. FM/Arpeggiator sounds from the TTSH ARP 2600 clone. Processing using various pedals (meris mercury, strymon el capistan) and outboard (Klark Technik 1167 and EQP1, Knas Moisturizer). Made some video material whilst recording and mixed in some diving footage to have a bit of a back-drop to the track."

A Deluge Tip - Fine resolutions and low BPMs

Published on Apr 5, 2020 Synthstrom Audible

"In our 3.1 update (mid-2020) we'll be giving users access to incredibly fine resolutions for note input on the Deluge. This opens up many creative possibilities, here is just one.

Existing Deluge users will already know that you can play a sample back at any speed you want by extending the length of the sample to fill a clip (and the length of a clip of a Deluge is unlimited)
This means you could achieve affect of the sample breaking up while playing at any speed you like, but this video is just to illustrate the ability to be able to play a banger at 2.5 BPM, and having a sample break up like that was a nice illustration of that."

Saving Daylight

Published on Apr 4, 2020 voltlife

"Just a rough jam on the last day of daylight saving time. Possibly a dry run for some live-streamed improvisation sessions: if I do that, I’ll double check recording levels, exposure, my stupid lockdown hair, and make sure that my hands are in frame!"
