Oberheim OB-1 SN 0598

"Perhaps Oberheim's most undersung but amazing sounding monosynth. The OB-1 does not sound like a SEM, and it does not sound like one of their later polys--it has it's own distinct sound and power that rivals any other monosynth from that era. Take the girth of an Octave Cat A-Rev. and apply some Oberheim filter flavor and you are getting close to what this sounds like.

This OB-1 has both MIDI and the Tauntek CPU update that allows real-time editing of all parameters and an increased preset memory. It has also been fully serviced by Bell Tone Synthworks here in Philadelphia and is ready to rock for the foreseeable future."

Buchla - 272e (4 stereo F.M.tuner)
"This module also requires some special circuits built into the "power boat" for the module so that an antenna can be connected."

Buchla 259e Complex Waveform Generator
"The 259e Complex Waveform Generator is the original version that shipped in 2006. It is running version 30 software, so compatible with most Buchlas that have been running since about 2010."

Buchla 259e Twisted Waveform Generator
"This version is an update to the original 259e Complex Waveform Generator. It's not necessary better or worse, just slightly different."

Buchla 291e Triple Morphing Filter

Buchla 230e Triple Envelope Tracker

KORG ARP 2600FS // with Make Noise Morphagene & Mimeophon

Published on Apr 16, 2020 Genshi Media Group

"::| TO HEAR THE FULL RANGE OF FREQUENCIES AND STEREO EFFECTS, A GOOD PAIR OF HEADPHONES ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |::

An exploration of the Korg ARP 2600FS; just plugging things in, seeing what happens... as in the previous video, I start with the raw sounds before bringing in the effects, this time with the Make Noise Morphagene and Mimeophon. Sorry about the excessive noise, I didn't set the levels properly on the Zoom H4n (which is not what I usually use to record my music in the first place.)"

Sequential Pro 3 Loop Improvisation w/Bank 4 Presets

Published on Apr 16, 2020 Joseph McGinty

"I just received the Sequential Pro 3 and I really love this synth. Another great synth from Dave Smith! It's pretty much my only synth during this lockdown time. I'm going to have a lot of fun exploring it.

Here's a short improv playing through bank 4 of the Sequential Pro3 factory presets. I hadn't played through all the presets, so there was an element of uncertainty (hence the random sequences near the end). Recording was straight into ProTools (no outboard effects) with looping by Enso from Audio Damage. Drum beat is from Funkbox on the iPad. Video effects by Signal Culture's Maelstrom virtual video synthesizer."
