"Polyphonic analogue synthesizer that needs no introduction. But the tone… the richness… the ease with which wonderful sounds emerge from it… (OK, that’s a small introduction).

Freshly overhauled including a new spring in the ribbon controller. It will undergo further calibration and testing before we ship; our head synth tech James Walker has worked on many CS synths and this one plays wonderfully and sounds superb.

Compared to its larger relation, these travel much better and don’t tend to require work after shipping."

🎸 In this video I'm running the theme of Pokemon from the Red/Blue edition through my Vermona Perfourmer. I liked the sound so much that I didn't dare to turn any knob. I've played this game like crazy as a kid on my GameBoy Color and feel very nostalgic about the music. And the music is absolutely amazing. So much fantasy and joyfulness- and all of that in 8 Bit!"

Rhett - Tense Stroke (Polyend Tracker Scene Project)

video upload by Polyend

"The Tracker really brings out a certain inspiration that feels so different than a lot of the workflows that I'm used to. Coming from Eurorack and MPC background, picking up the Tracker felt foreign at first, but in the best way possible.

VGM #197: Tarrey Town (Breath of the Wild) Ft. RichaadEB, Soundole, Curious Quail, & Josiah Everhart

video upload by Amie Waters

"I dreamt up this cover three years ago and it took me three years to finally gather all my friends and make it happen. If you don't know the cool thing about Tarrey Town from BotW, you have to find people around the world to move into this lonely town, and as new people join, the music for the town changes and gets more upbeat and exciting. Each member brings their own sounds and energy to the track until finally it all comes together when all four new residents have arrived, so I got four friends together to represent each new person moving in and we made a cover together. I think its real special, and a great way to bring this Zelda Month project to a close.

With this marks the end of Zelda Month for me. I've been doing this project for seven straight years, and I am ready for it to come to a close. This doesn't mean I am done covering Zelda music forever, just that now I am free to cover songs from the series whenever, not just in November. Maybe someday it will make a return, but for now I am very happy to end this final Zelda Month with such a celebration of friendship and joy. I have made so many incredible friendships over the last seven years, and it was an absolute joy to bring some of those wonderful people together for the grand finale and make something greater than the sum of its parts. There is a magic that only comes with collaboration, and I think this song so wonderfully captures that. 2021 was a difficult year for me, but even when things are rough, music and friends can bring so much joy into the darkness. I wanted to capture that hope, that joy in the face of darkness and share it with everyone. I hope you enjoyed this, and all the many Zelda songs I have covered over the years. I will be releasing a complete collection of Zelda music in early 2022. Thank you all for sticking with me through all these years.
-Amie"

Door #23: Morgen kommt der Weihnachtsmann (Santa’s Coming Tomorrow) - Synthmas '21

video upload by

"The song:
This songs lyrics wrote none other than Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben who wrote among many other well known poems the German anthem. The melody appeared first in 1761 in France and was adapted by W. A. Mozart as base melody for his Piano Variations KV 265.

The gear:
Here my other Casio 'synth', the PT-1 comes into play. This successor of the legendary VL-1 got 4 instruments (Piano, Fantasy, Strings, Flute) and a rhythm section that is most notable for it's appearance in German Neue Deutsche Welle band Trio's track "Da Da Da". This is my very first synth I got as a present in the late 80s. Notice the Alf sticker that make this unit a unique one. I did a multi track recoring using my Boss RC-202 loop station. The tone signal is passed through the Zoom MS70 CDR effect unit adding some reverb, chorus, pitch and phaser.
