Lunabell Meets Modular Synth (steel tongue drum + Eurorack)

video upload by Poorness Studios

"Just for the heck of it, I decided to plug my Idiopan Lunabell into my Eurorack modular synthesizer. This patch not only processes the drum's audio but also uses it to control other parameters of the sound. The synth 'responds' to the mallet strikes making this a duet of sorts. There is a patch breakdown at the end of the video if you're curious.

"The flagship of Roland's popular Boutique range is this distinctive 8-bit synth and controller for MIDI and CV/Gate gear.

This compact sound module is loaded with features and can bridge between a variety of inputs.

It's rare to find a BRAND NEW and UNOPENED model and this item has the original batteries, as well as the manual and documentation.

The sound is distinctive with a crisp tone that stands strong in the mix.

I think Florian Pilz is correct when he suggests this synth might be the new 303 [3rd Bad Gear video here], but that probably depends on your appreciation for that famous mono-synth.

The A-01 has a lot of variety, from softer organ-like tones through to crucnhy percussive and bit-crushed basses.

Roland's website provides the following details:

Ultra-compact controller and sound generator

Highly portable for mobile music making
High-quality construction with metal front panel

Dual assignable ribbon controls for pitch bend, modulation, sound preview, CC, and more

MIDI over Bluetooth®

CV/GATE outputs for legacy analog/modular synthesizers

Battery-operated (4 x AA) or USB bus-powered

192x40 graphic LCD screen

Built-in 0.5 W mini-speaker for real-time sounds"

The most awaited video for the Pulsar 23!!! Normal Drum Sounds With IOLabs Flux!!!

video upload by Friendly Noise

"The second collaboration between IOLabs Flux, the best trigger sequencer, and the Soma Pulsar 23 , arguably the most amazing if not the best drum machine ever made. The combination of sound quality, easy of use, open design, interconnectivity and interactivity makes the Soma a fantastic piece of musical gear, and which is more important, a real instrument to play with. The amount of control and flexibility that Flux puts in your hands can lead you to totally unexpected sonic landscapes, like you can see and heat in that video.
Barry at IOLabs and Vlad at Soma Instruments are real geniuses of our time.

Further Explorations with the Buchla Music Easel // Part Six

video upload by Genshi Media Group"

"::| TO HEAR THE FULL RANGE OF FREQUENCIES AND STEREO EFFECTS, A GOOD PAIR OF HEADPHONES IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |::

Part Six of a series of short, exploratory videos to get reacquainted with my Buchla Music Easel which I’ve neglected these past couple of years. This is a simple straight-ahead tune that could be expanded into a song with beats and other instruments. I may do that at some point... Effects from the Empress Effects EchoSystem."

Befaco & Rebel Technology Introduce the AC/DC Open Source Audio Interface Eurorack Module

via Befaco

"AC/DC is an open source (and DIY friendly!) DC coupled 4x4 channels audio interface. The module is based in the new Rebel tech hardware platform (codename Xibeca) that provides 4 channels in and out at 16 bit 48Khz. USB audio interface.

This beauty is packed in 6 HPs and has only 40 mm depth, so its just PERFECT for performance and travel rigs.

Of course, it also provides compatibility with the OWL platform to expand the module functionalities if the user wants to nerd out (like in our previous collab Lich)!

This module is in production and will be released the 3rd of June. So you can place your orders from now!! (or during superbooth after testing it)

AC/DC will sell at 300€+TAX (~360€) for the assembled module and 170€+TAX (~210€) for the Kit."
