"Vintage Korg Lambda 4 octave paraphonic synthesizer. Korg's version of the Solina String Ensemble that does strings and a whole lot more. Besides strings, there's chorus, brass, organ, piano, electric piano, clavinet, and harmonics. Unlike the Solina there are a variety of settings and performance controls that you can play with to get a rich variety of sounds.

Synthesizer is in good condition. A small chip is missing from the lower side of the lowest A key and there are a few scratches in the 1970's genuine fake wood case--see photos."

Noise Engineering's New Stereo Oscillator

video upload by Patchwerks

"In this video Steven Ly from Patchwerks shares and overview and demo of the new Virt Iter legio by Noise Engineering.

"Learn more about the Virt Iter Legio here: https://bit.ly/virt_iter_legio

Virt Iter Legio is a 6HP stereo oscillator with a distinct and versatile sound.

Its three oscillator algorithms – Bass, SawX, and Harm – will be familiar to users of our free Virt Vereor plugin and of the Arturia Microfreak both of which have the same oscillator modes.

Virt Iter Legio features independent left and right phase-modulation inputs, opening up opportunities for unique, gnarly sound design that takes over the stereo field, as well as a sync input for ripping hard-sync tones. It also features a vintage-inspired chorus: whether you want to create beautiful pads or hard-hitting bass, Virt Iter Legio’s massive sonic range will fit into any patch.

Virt Iter Legio is also an oscillator and DSP platform: users can change the firmware on any Legio module, 100% free, to any other firmware in the Legio series. And if you know us, you know we have a lot of ideas coming for this platform. Want a Legio module with a numbered panel so your Legio panel isn't tied to a single firmware? Select the 'Generic Legio' panel option.

In just 6 HP, Virt Iter Legio is a powerful and worthy addition to any system, small or large."

The Legio Platform by Noise Engineering | Episode 01

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"We all know and love the Versio platform. Two years ago Noise Engineering also announced a platform for VCO's and other stuff to complement their Iteritas line-up. Then everything went south for two years. But now, Legio is here, latin for Legion. There are currently three firmwares: Virt Iter (VCO), Tymp ( a mini Basimilus) and Librae (dynamics). As with Versio, there are many more in the pipeline. Legio (or Legion) also reminds me of the possessed man from the Bible (Mark 5:9) who carried 2.000 demons with him. When is name was asked, he replied something like 'My name is Legion, for I am many'. Definitely great food for a horror movie. But rest assured, Legio isn't possessed. It's just many. Let's start at episode 01."

Aha - Take On Me | Why are these drums so recognizable? | Tutorial w/ the Isla Instruments S2400

video upload by Espen Kraft

"In a recent gig I had to recreate the openings of more than 40 80s chart hits. One song was 'Take on me' by A-ha. The song starts with the only drums and it has a very recognizable drum part. As I studied the drum pattern I realized there was some genius programming at work here.

The drums used in this video are my own custom drums, not taken from the recordings. The sounds of my remake (synth sounds used) are not meant to be carbon copies of the original either, that was never the intent nor was it required by the client."

Custom Korg Wavestate Synthesizer – DIY Module Version Minus Keyboard

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"For sale is a Korg Wavestate that I have modded into a module version by removing the keyboard. The Wavestate itself functions perfectly (it easily takes MIDI input from your keyboard, sequencer, computer, etc.) and would be in excellent condition except for the mod.

For the mod, I first disassembled the synth, unplugged+unscrewed the keybed and removed it, and then sawed off the lower portion of the case that had previously housed the keyboard. That is it! I did not add a piece of wood to cap the bottom of the case or anything like that. So as you can see in the picture, the bottom of this "module" looks ugly. It would be very easy to cap it off with whatever material you like. In my case, the module was always positioned so that this open area was against a desk or stand, and as you can see in pics 1+2, the rough edges are hidden in this position. I'm including all of this info so that buyers understand what they're getting. This item is for people who either 1) don't care about the rough edges + open case or 2) intend to finish the mod more artfully.

In any case, it all works perfectly. Only selling as I've moved to a fully ITB setup and no longer have the need for this hardware. Potential NYC buyers are welcome to come test out the unit in Brooklyn."
