Krill Synth sounds Great | haQ attaQ

video upload by Jakob Haq

"Seeing discussions about Krill synthesizer and people not wanting to buy it just made me want to review it. 😅 So Is Krill any good? Check out the video to find out!

Krill synthesizer supports AUv3 and can be loaded into any AUv3 enabled host.

"The GSi Krill Synthesizer was born from a design originally conceived to work as a mono synthesizer on an embedded processor (RP2040), then it was modified to be polyphonic for a more powerful processor (ARM H7) and finally we thought it would be perfect as a AUv3 for iPad, for those quick and dirty synth sounds you sometimes need without getting lost in endless parameter navigation and menu diving. So here it is, just one screen, one knob - one function, what you see is what you get. Two oscillators, one LFO, one low pass filter, two envelopes, stereo chorus, ping-pong delay, 64 presets. Have fun!"

WORLD OF SEQUENCES for Synapse Dune 3 Synthesizer! New Soundpack!

video upload by Kevin Schroeder

"Available at: https://www.synapse-audio.com/
New soundset for Dune 3 "World of Sequences" is here!
This soundset comes with 135 inspiring arps/sequences, typically multi-layered and supporting a variety of controllers like Modwheel, Breath, Aftertouch, Expression or Velocity. The patches in this soundset are mainly designed for Ambient, Cinematic and EDM projects. Most sequences in this set use the arp and/or step sequencer instead of Midi files, so that patches can be adapted more easily to a project."

ambient folly - looping improvisation at Racton Ruin on the South Downs with Microkorg XL and RC500

video upload by drone-in-the-woods

"My first attempt at producing an ambient track by only looping my newly acquired Korg Microkorg XL. I'm still discovering cool sounds and digging deeper into editing but am already confident I've made the right switch from the Gaia.
The bass sound I used in this track is just mahoosively subby and something in the chain was distorting here and there but I've left those bits in to retain the live one-take feel of the video. Some of the arpeggio timing is a bit wobbly too, but I've since discovered key sync and switched it on :)
I'm surprised to find no hold function on the Microkorg and the lack of a MIDI THRU is pretty frustrating. Nonetheless it is a fantastically feature-rich and incredibly portable instrument.

TubeOhm SMR4P-Multi

video upload by Andre' Laska

"Stress test of the filter. No audio in signal was used. All sounds were generated with the filter resonance. A signal generator was only used to control the resonance and the different filter types. The video is handheld with a mobile phone. I thought it would be interesting for you to see what the filter alone can do.
The sound was recorded with a mobile phone."

The SMR4P-Multi contains the best from 2 worlds . First , it sounds warm like the SMR4 and second -
15 different filtertypes like the 4PM.
While doing sounddesign it is very helpfull to have a ' swiss knive' VCF. So we implement 15 different filtertypes like
6+12+18+24dB LP 6+12+18 dB HP 6+12 dB BP HP2LP, HP3LP Notch,Phaser, Notch+LP1, Phaser+LP1.

What else we have build in ?
There is also a FM posibility, an inbuild VCA , and you can switch the different filtertypes a:) manual or b:) voltage controlled.
Inputs: Audio in, Res= resonance contol (0..10 V),Gain(VCA control 0..10V) , Mod (extern) and Cut(V/OCT0..10V)
Outputs : VCA and VCF *** VCA, the output singal is contolled in its amplitude by Gain 0..10 v
VCF is the direct signal without VCA controll
DIY scills : good soldering knowledge , high integrated parts - through hole , no SMT

BLEASS Sidekick - The Creative Rhythm Companion

video upload by BLEASS

"Download Now: https://www.bleass.com/sidekick
Available for Desktop (VST3 / AU / AAX) and iOS (AUv3)

BLEASS Sidekick is a combination of a kick drum synth, a step sequencer, and a ducker (aka a sidechain compressor). The result is a plugin that provides a unique way to create exciting rhythmic dynamics within your music.

The kick drum synth uses an analogue-style engine inspired by vintage beatboxes, which allows it to create a wide range of classic analogue kick drum tones with ease. This synth can be triggered by the built-in 16-step sequencer or by an external MIDI input; its sound can be mixed with the audio passing through the plugin, be used to trigger the plugin’s ducker stage, or both.

Used without the ducker, BLEASS Sidechain makes it easy to add your own kick parts to loops and other percussive parts.

Bringing in the ducker causes the input signal to reduce in volume whenever the kick synth is triggered. When used on a drum loop this lets you impose your own creativity on the underlying feel and beat of the loop, ducking-out the loop’s kick sound and pattern so that you can replace them with a sound and pattern that you have crafted.

Perhaps BLEASS Sidekick’s best trick, though, is to use the kick synth and sequencer purely as a trigger for the ducker. This lets you create fascinating and detailed dynamic rhythms within any part or track, whether individual instrument or an entire mix."

ER-99 Online Web-Based Roland TR-909 Emulator by Extralife Instruments

video upload by Extralife

Update: video added above.

"Play the ER-99 free here! https://extralifeinstruments.com/er-99/

Celebrate electronic music history on 9/09 day with ER-99, a web-based instrument 🎛️ based on a famous Japanese drum machine from the 1980s. It was built to celebrate 9/09 day 2022 🎉!

All of the drums are synthesized using the WebAudio API. The hi-hats, crash, and ride cymbals are produced from sampled audio.

The complete source code is available on Github: https://github.com/matthewcieplak/er-99"

This one is in via Extralife, maker of the Super Sixteen DIY Eurorack Sequencer, featured in additional posts here.

"This year, to celebrate 9/09 day, I've built a free, open-source analog drum synth you can play in your web browser. It's called ER-99, and you can play it here (works best on desktop devices!)

You can program patches and sequences on the web interface and save them as presets using the menu below the sequencer. (I have also added MIDI input for sync with external sequences).

You can also read the complete source code on Github. It's surprising how simple many of these sounds are to make!

The original Japanese drum machine that inspired this project is an analog sound design masterpiece, and you can read circuit analysis about its clever use of noise and bandpass filters over on Network 909. I've tried to use the same techniques in the digital domain but I'm sure I can tweak them to get even closer sounding: http://www.network-909.de/circuit.htm"

Check out ER-99 here: http://extralifeinstruments.com/er-99/
