Elektron SidStation (no effects)

video upload by Benjamin Dehli

"Quick test of the Elektron SidStation. The sound of Commodore 64 and computer games from the 1980s. The MOS 6581 SID chip is capable of some gritty sounds with its 8-bit DAC and an analog filter that easily distorts. This is the raw direct sound of the SidStation and no effects were added."

video upload by Noise Engineering

"Check out these 5 Jams using the Tymp Legio stereo digital percussion module on the Legio platform. We hope these jams will inspire you to think of new ways to patch.

0:05 Jam 1
0:37 Jam 2
1:14 Jam 3
1:57 Jam 4
2:33 Jam 5

More info on Tymp Legio: https://bit.ly/3zQuw6C

If you already own a Legio module, you can swap to the Tymp Legio firmware for free at our Customer Portal and get patching right away. Customer Portal link: http://bit.ly/3JvmC8N

Jam 1: We're using two Tymp Legios for those fat four-to-the-floor kicks and for the cowbell-like hits.

Jam 2: Two Tymp Legios in this patch. One is the kick, which gets a gate from the Zularic Repetitor that opens up the Wackitude mode for a nice 'wump' on every upbeat. The other Tymp is set in Boing Mode, giving us quite the sound palette when turning the Decay and Wackitude knobs.

Jam 3: Here we explore all three modes - Boot, Cat, and Boing - to hear a spread of different sounds Tymp can produce.

Jam 4: We're using the Planar to rhythmically adjust the CV going to both Wackitude and Decay controls.

Jam 5: We're adjusting the controls of the Librae Legio dynamics processor to glue that perfect mix while adding some compression each time Tymp Legio kicks in. You can hear it both with long and short kicks."

Acidbox III Fully cranked

video upload by Richard DeHove

"The Erica Synths Acidbox III stereo filter with everything cranked. Team it with a DB-01 and you've got a Polivoks filter going into another Polivoks filter. Both resonances on full, input saturation full and then an added 20dB of input gain on top. Why be subtle?
A few normal DB-01 patterns are mangulated at the start before forgetting about any sort of input at all and just playing latent noise and resonance through a Shiftline Astronaut pedal. We end somewhere among the Krell on Altair-4.

0:00 The setup
1:06 Pattern one
1:40 +20dB input gain
2:52 Pattern two
4:23 Pattern three
5:00 Control input config
6:12 CV input
8:33 1950s sci-fi
9:58 On Altair-4 (no more talk)
