The synthesizer is a floor-mounted unit with five rubber footswitches; it also has sliders and knobs for changing the parameters of effects. "Formanta UDS is powerfull 7 channel analog drum synthesizer, produced by the same FORMANTA factory in Kachkanar city where mades famous Polivoks synths in eighties. It has 5 identical channels (which can be used freely) for BASS DRUM, HIGH TOM, MIDDLE TOM, LOW TOM, SNARE and two channels for Hi-hats and Cymbals.
The synth has also built-in beatbox with 16 patterns. The beatbox and the synthesizer are independent modules so they can work at the same time freely and you can tweak the generators of the beatbox patterns. Full freedom.
Each channel has trigger Input on a standart 1/4 mono Jack and two additional Inputs for pedals. It can be triggered from drum pads like Simmons or any audio source - Line Outs of the drum machine or soundcard etc. The synth has two parallel mono Outs (1/4 Jack and 5Din) and two parallel stereo Outs (left-right on 1/4 Jacks and 5Din). It also has 5Din socket for Rhythm-Stick hand controller.
This is an armored antitank piece of gear and the sound it produces is very unique!"

Synopsis:
Following the invitation of an actress, KiNo goes to Istanbul to take a break from New York and produce a series of films with her. Upon arrival, he finds himself on his own. Stranded in a strange land with strange emotions, he starts working on this song.

CAST A PALL OF WIN is a poetic plea by KiNo which signifies 'Die, if you must, but bring something positive to creation’. This film is the first piece from the album CORPUS ENIGMA; a collection of films and their songs inspired by the emotional range of L'eclisse, film of Antonioni and Monica Vitti.

Track begins at 2:50. The VCS 3 provides "bass, melody, the snakey rhytmic stuff, the pings, the clicks, pretty much everything except the stringpads."

"This synthesizer is in excellent working condition, and has just been cleaned/serviced. Brand-new back-up battery has been installed, with 96 patches loaded and ready to play. All keys, velocity sensitivity, 8 voices, membrane buttons, VFD screens, alpha-numeric displays, potentiometers, pitch/mod wheels, ins/outs, midi, and chord function are working great as they should. Cosmetically, this synth is in excellent condition, with only some minor scuffs and scratches to mention. The AX80 has 8x CEM3372 voice/filter IC's for beautifully lush analog patches, as well as tight-punch, perfect for bass patches. This was AKAI's answer to Oberheim's MATRIX series, and shares many tonal qualities to those synths..."

Anyone know what this is?  The listing states that it is working but not much else.  Sequential Circuits had this MusicMate, but this does not appear to be that.  This is the first Music Mate post.

Update via Pea Hicks of Optigan.com in the comments: "I had one of these about 10 years ago. It was meant for school use. It's essentially a mini divide-down electronic piano. Polyphonic, but with just one bland timbre."

The conjoined generator is driven by its own gate input but the envelope that it gives is wholly dependent upon what the main circuit is doing.

This appears to be only the second post featuring the GB2.
