"The Benjolin is modulated by the Klangbau Köln Eurorack Joystick CV Processor. Its mono audio is routed through the Flame Mäander’s sequenced filter bank, turning the sounds into a stereo signal, by panning certain filter bands hard to the L and R channels. At the end of the chain sits the Mooer Ocean Machine ambient guitar pedal with two stereo delays, a lush reverb and a live audio looper. It’s a fun noise and drone music doodle :)"

Vintage Knob Analysis and Recommendations - Prophet 6

Interesting point he makes about going too far. Technically, you don't have to turn the knob to max, so the choice is yours. I can see max settings being useful for things like random appegiations and sequences that bring life to a pattern. The KORG Mono/Poly and Oberheim TVS excel in this as you can have differently tuned osciallators and waveforms for each step. It opens things up. I can see wanting things kept in check for chords and the like, but you can always dial the knob back if that's what you want. So, personally, I'd rather have more than less...

"A technical overview of the Vintage Knob implementation in new Sequential Prophet 6, OB-6, and Prophet 5 Rev 4. I spent several hours analyzing the Oscillators, Envelope ADR timings, and Filter characteristics. This video explores the vintage knob behavior in depth, and also offers up some recommendations on how adjusting the values could greatly improve the usability of the Vintage Knob across a range of values.

I hope Sequential will consider these recommendations. I've been researching per voice variance over the past few years, and spent hundreds of hours working on voice modeling on various VCO, DCO and digital synths. My expectation is that it would probably be a trivial task to make these adjustments, and would result in improving the behavior and reducing weird dissonance and wonky sound on some patches."

"Cosmetically tatty and could do with a service but sounds cool and mostly functional!

All keys work and knobs are smooth but synth section has inconsistent volume across notes and octave modulation button is temperamental - probably simple fixes if you know what you’re doing! Organ section 4’ only sounds on a couple of notes, 2, 8 & 16 are fine."

"You’re looking at a fully functional used OP-1, with an official soft TE carrying case. Also included are 3rd party replacement knobs, official charging cable, and official TE FM Radio tuner antenna.

All the keys and knobs still work great. Occasionally dust can get stuck under the keys and make them stick. But removing the keys and cleaning the button underneath isn’t hard. The bottom is missing the two lower rubber stoppers, but it gives it a nice tilt for your wrists while playing on a surface. There are some minor scuffs on the paint letter print across the device—nothing major."

"A live recording with my Buchla Easel Command 208C. It is controlled by and run through an Elektron Octatrack which is also adding effects. The long reverb comes from an Alesis Midiverb III.

Each oscillator receives MIDI on different channels and the audio has also been separated - the complex oscillator from a master output and the modulation oscillator from the gate 2 signal output."
