I love the vintage Roland modulars and this System 100m is exceptional. This is a pretty full rig and I have to thank my friend Bon Harris from Nitzer Ebb for parking it here at my studio for a minute. This 100m is fully loaded with nearly every module Roland made for it and I wanted to give the dual sequencers a little workout as I had never used these before.
I love modulars for simple and direct sounds and the 100m is a champion here with a cutting, narrow and precise yet still warm analog sound. This patch is running entirely on the 100m. There is no multitracking, everything is running 100 percent live with no additional processing and no additional sequencing. For these kind of generative and repetitive lines that can be the foundation of a song, the 100m is ace!
The first sequencer also acts as the master clock and everything is getting tempo from that. I’m also running the analog delays inside the phaser modules sequentially for a longer flanger tone on the snare. The kick also has a secondary noise source that’s getting phased via the 100m phaser.
in All I’m doing is muting and unmuting the 4 channels coming off the 100m and some tonal tweaks. What you hear is just the raw sound from the machine with no post processing.'
Dreadbox Murmux III "Adept" : Almost Perfect?
video upload by Tim Shoebridge
"Here finally is a video I started to plan and record almost three months ago. My initial idea was a short video featuring some nice ambient music and a voice-over by me describing my most favourite features of the Murmux Adept. 15-20 minutes should do the trick.
But the more I thought about what to say, the more I realised that I needed to properly pay my respects to the Murmux, to describe all its features and what it can do. So that's what I have done, and the result is an epic movie-length video of over 90 minutes!
I haven't attempted to trim the content, in fact I've added extra demo tracks and hands-on feature demonstrations. My conclusions and many ramblings at the end of the video are almost 20 minutes in length! Apologies for that.
So let's be clear, this is not a video for the casual viewer or for the feint hearted. It is certainly not for the typical YouTube browsing public with an attention span of under 8 minutes. It's a detailed and thorough look at this very special instrument because, with only 300 ever being made and a hefty price tag, I'm guessing that not too many people are going to have the opportunity to see one let alone play or own one.
So please, find a comfy armchair, a snack and a small glass of your favourite beverage, and most importantly find some quality quiet time and some good headphones or earbuds, because we are about to immerse ourselves in something wonderful, the Dreadbox Murmux "Adept" ❤
Here's the contents so you can plan your time:
#bladerunner End Titles Ambient Cover with #CS80 #tr808 #CP70 #bladerunnerambience #rutgerhauer
video upload by Jose's Vintage Keys
"I have been a fan of Rutger Hauer since I was a little kid. He had a great (bw) series called ‘Floris’, playing a handsome and very smart knight. I was a big fan… I even called my oldest son ‘Floris’ (a very Dutch name that is difficult to translate). When @Doctormix made a really great version of Blade Runner end titles, I got the idea to use the track as an homage to Hauer, who passed away in 2019. I decided to make a different ‘atmospheric’ version—no sense to copy the copy of the Dr. I think it turned out quite well and features some scenes from this wonderful actor.”"
2 Dudes and a CS-80 / part #2 #synthrenegades
video upload by HanzVolt
"This quick session with the Legendary Yamaha CS-80 has certainly left a deep impression on me. And I my have to seek therapy to cope with the unobtanium factor... 😠Does this mean I have to buy a damn behringer if they come out with that CS80 clone???"

Minimod 4-Voice Performance/Patch (Eurorack Modular Analogue System)
video upload by DreamsOfWires
"I created a patch on the AJH Synth RadioPhonic at Machina Bristronica 2024, which I quite liked, so I recreated it using my own modules, with a couple of minor changes. It consists of 4 voices, mixed, effected and recorded directly into the modular - a nice, tidy solution for simple performances or jotting down ideas.
I'll probably be uploading some videos of gear I'm having to sell off soon, so keep an eye on the channel, and maybe some short vids focussed on my favourite individual gear/gadegets/toys if anyone's interested. Not all Eurorack modular, some regular synths and other stuff.

DO YOU WANT 30 EXPRESSIVE VOCODER SOUNDS? | NOVATION MININOVA | Demo of Vocoder Presets
video upload by Microflat
"This video will demo the absolutely amazing Novation MiniNova synthesizer's vocoder section that contains more than 30 presets. Many of the presets are expressive-aggressive base sounds highly suitable as really cool sound effects in movies - but also for rhythmic effects or experimental support of vocals and choirs in songs. Consequently, gently dosed compression and a little bit of reverb needed to be added in post production. That's all. The rest of the effects are straight out of the MiniNova. This versatile baby synthesizer comes in a nice blue color with 3 octaves and mini keys. Wow! Great sound engine.
Video clips were recorded in 4K (60 fps) on a Panasonic Lumix GH5 and were edited in Adobe Premiere Pro running on a HP Zbook 15 G6. Audio was recorded in 96 KHz 32 bit directly into the Solid State Logic SSL 2+ USB-C audio interface via an Apple iPad Pro running Cubasis 3. All audio output has been processed in Adobe Audition for optimal broadcasting."
This "No Coast" synth is special: Majella Implexus Demo
video upload by mylarmelodies
"In this demo I'll explain & explore the Majella Implexus - a very jammable & carefully refined synth that straddles both coasts, with an added stereo delay. The western part of the video explains the synth (no filter used), the eastern part contains jams (with filter, and added drums). Let's play!"

"Roland Jupiter 4. In excellent condition (one slider cap missing) The first Jupiter synth. It was among one of the first poly synthesizers (4 individual voices which could be synced together for one fat monophonic lead) Super slow LFO for Sweeping chords and an amazing arpeggio tha'ts endless fun when synced to a drum machine via the arp trigger. A wonderful Synth and the better sound Jupiter, in my collection for over 20 years."

"360 Systems - Digital Keyboard (s/n B358 ) The 360 Systems Digital Keyboard is from around 1984 and was one of the early 8-bit sample players. It is generally all working well, the keyboard really needs new bushings as it is a bit clattery and switch 16 does not work, although due to the sample blocks loaded into this unit, sounds 14, 15 and 16 are not active, so the faulty switch (16) wouldn’t do anything anyway. The “VAR” switch doesn’t seem to do anything, but presumably this is due to none of the ROM options installed having any variations, it was the strings that had variation, but this unit does not have strings installed. This is an early unit, and although it has MIDI sockets, it does not have the MIDI option fitted (So no MIDI). This unit is set to 240V. The voices installed are: 1- Flute 2- Nylon Guitar 3- Jazz Guitar 4- Slap (Funk) Bass 5- Electric Guitar 6- Clavinet 7 E.Piano (Rhodes) 8- Saxophone 9- French Horn 10- Trombone 11- Trumpet 12- Piccolo Trumpet 13- Grand Piano 14 - 16 - not active as the piano uses all 48 ROM chips

"Ensoniq - FIZMO (s/n FIZMO-10499) Reasonably good condition apart from discolouration of the keys and the top C key has lost it’s tip. All working. The FIZMO was released in 1998 and is a digital 48 voice transwave synth with three effect processors. Note: There is a Euro socket size cutout on the back panel, that looks like at some point someone fitted a power supply inside, but none of this exists now, so the cutout is covered over, and so it is back to the original external AC adaptor power (supplied -UK plug). No owners manual, but it is easily found and downloadable from the internet. VEMIA can collect. Packing 18GBP."

"demo mainly intented to show the Roland CR8000 and Teisco Vocal 120 i'm selling in action.
The Teisco is a nice 5 channel mixing amplifier. It's very nice used as a submixer to add some character and spring reverb to keys and drum machines as you can hear. Simple Treble / Bass EQ that sounds very musical, and a 3 stage gain attenuator that can make the input just slighthly overdriven and compressed to totally smashed. Channels are transistor based, not op amp.
The CR8000 is a classic groovey programmable Roland drum machine, 2 step away from the CR78 and 1 step from the TR808."

PWM Mantis Quick Look
video upload by Starsky Carr
"WASP - OSCAR - MANTIS. From original thoughts of Chris Huggett, PWM and he worked together on his final designs before his untimely death. PWM have realised his vision plus some extras like the ability to play 4 voices (quad paraphonic) on what was originally a duophonic idea. ... I think!
The PWM Mantis is a unique synth .. a bit like a vintage synth being brought to the market in the 21st century. I say almost like a vintage because it does have all the modern features you'd expect."
SERGE Modular INORI // Making chords with Quadslope
video upload by Dexba
"Sometimes it's not about using ALL the patch points, going crazy on the modulations or whatnot.
A simple idea: INORI has 6 oscillators, even 7 if we count the filter, and today I wanted to use the Quadslope as a bank for chords.
What makes it quite lovely is the fact that the 1V/Oct goes only to the two left envelopes of the pairs, so chords are always accompanied by a droning voice.
The second oscillator of the PCO which can act as an LFO is going to the VCF frequency, and I am modulating by hand the frequency of the LFO and the amount of modulation of the filter.
The SQP4+ is criminally underutilized, but acts as a quick control over the chords, with A line going to the first pair of slopes and B going to the second one.
Sound quality is the most important aspect, and @serge-modular never disappoints.
Just a hint of @EventideAudio H90, for some simple (maybe subtle is better?) delay and reverb.
Now I just want to spend more time with this setup 🧡"
