-=§ ACID §=- Cyclone TT-303, TT-606 & Axoloti DSP (w/ setup overview) #TTNM

"Jamming with my Acid music setup again. MORE INFO BELOW :)

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

As usual, my two Cyclone Analogic Bass Bot TB-303 clones are MIDI synced to the TT-606 drum drone. I recently added two Axoloti DSPs to the setup then, which receive the individual instruments' audio streams for FX processing. There's overdrive, bit crushing, delay, reverb and more, to add some flavour to the 303 and 606. Attached to one Axoloti is a Korg nanoKontrol 2 USB-MIDI controller, which lets me adjust the individual effects as well as send MIDI commands to the Roland TR-606 clone, to mute the drum sounds and set shuffle amount.

Check out the Axoloti DSP here:

It's very easy to program, using a cross-platform virtual modular synth patcher software, like on the old Nord Modulars."

I built a little pedestal for my three Cyclone Analogic Acid groove boxes. Like this the cables don't get in the way and they take up les space on the slide out tray. Here are two pictures: https://www.instagram.com/p/B4xLOgaIt4u/

I'm still tremendously enjoying the ease of use of those Roland TB-303 and TR-606 clones. The sequencers are fun to work with and one can get a jam going in very little time.

Questions or comments? Go ahead and post them below! :) Thanks for watching! Check out my channel for more Synthesizer Music.

SUNDAY ACID (with Cyclone TT-303 mkII + TT-606) #TTNM

Published on Nov 10, 2019 THE TUESDAY NIGHT MACHINES

"Got home from a run through the park and felt like jamming on the acid boxes! MORE INFO BELOW

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

Another try at playing my two TB-303 clones at the same times plus the Roland Drumatix TR-606 clone by Cyclone Analogic. I only added a little bit of the Zoom R16's Delay and Reverb to the bass lines.

I got really tempted to buy a Behringer TD-3 yesterday by the way, but I could resist XD I assume their prices on the secondhand market will be even better than they already are new. As I obviously don't really NEED another 303 it's fine to wait or maybe even not buy one ... we'll see. I will however continue to work on my Axoloti companion to the 606 and 303, adding effects like overdrive, distortion, delay and reverb into the little DSP box to add some grit, punch and roominess to the analog audio.

303 TUBE ACID // Cyclone Analogic TT-303, TT-606, Klangbau Köln Eurorack #TTNM

Published on Oct 5, 2019 THE TUESDAY NIGHT MACHINES

"Play it LOUD! TT-303 with tube fuzz, TT-606 with wave shaping and spring reverb ... MORE INFO BELOW :)

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

This time, my Cyclone Analogic TB-303 and TR-606 groove box clones are being mangled by all-analog audio effects from my Eurorack modular synthesizer.

The Klangbau Köln Röhren VCA (Tube VCA) adds some crunchy tube distortion to the TT-303 mkII Bass Bot, while the TT-606 Drum Drone's kick is mangled by the Klangbau Köln Wavefolder and the snare gets some room sound by the Klangbau Köln Spring Reverb.

Everything is recorded and mixed together in my Zoom R16 then.

__ A C I D __ w/ TT-303 & TT-606 by Cyclone Analogic #TTNM

Published on Oct 3, 2019 THE TUESDAY NIGHT MACHINES

"More minimal Acid House music with the 303 and 606 clones :) MORE INFO BELOW.

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

The Cyclone Analogic TT-303 Bass Bot v2 and TT-606 Drum Done are clones of the iconic Roland TB-303 and TR-606 groove boxes, which have coined electronic music for decades.

The modern TT-303 and TT-606 instruments still have all analog audio signal generation, but more sophisticated sequencer capabilities than their relatives form the 80's.

In this video I switch patterns on the fly, while also adding hi-hats manually, switching 303 wave forms between saw and square and of course tweaking the sound knobs heavily :D"

Behringer Distortion ACID with TT-303 & TT-606 #TTNM

Published on Sep 22, 2019 THE TUESDAY NIGHT MACHINES

"Crunchy upbeat minimal Acid with the TT-303 and TT-606 through a Behringer MX400 with feedback. More info below :)

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

Yet another jam with the two analog clones of the iconic Roland TB-303 and TR-606 bass and drum computers, the Cyclone Analogic TT-303 Bass Bot and TT-606 Drum Drone.

Switching patterns on the 303 and 606 and tweaking some knobs while the Behringer MX400 mixer output is fed back into one of its input channels to create some nasty and crunchy analog overdrive. I'm not that impressed with the TT-303's normal sawtooth wave (then again I think most people just prefer square waves in general) so I thought I'd add some grunge via this old school mixer feedback distortion method, just to hear what it might sound like."

Minimal ACID // Cyclone TT-303 & TT-606 #TTNM

Published on Sep 21, 2019

"More Acid from the TT-303 and TT-606 groove boxes. See below for further information :)

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

This is another jam session with the two analog clones of the iconic Roland TB-303 and TR-606 bass and drum computers, the Cyclone Analogic TT-303 Bass Bot and TT-606 Drum Drone.

Pretty straight forward pattern switching here, with the obligatory 303 knob twiddling. The auto-fill mode of the TT-606 sequencer was really helpful to keep things structured and varied. It was set to automatically play a fill pattern on every 8th bar, reminding me to switch things up a little regularly. You can set auto-fill to off, every 2nd, 4th, 8th or 16th bar and each pattern can have its own individual fill pattern. Really cool!

As I've written below my previous video [previously posted here], those sequencers of the TT-303 and TT-606 are very well thought through, offering plenty of live-friendly features."

Cyclone TT-303 & TT-606 minimal Acid tryout jam ... #TTNM

Published on Sep 18, 2019 THE TUESDAY NIGHT MACHINES

"Sold some modular synth gear and got those two acid grooveboxes from Cyclone Analogic instead.

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

This is a first try out jam session with the two analog clones of the iconic Roland TB-303 and TR-606 bass and drum computers.

First impressions:
+ The sequencers are really cool and intuitive. It still requires some practice, but there seem to be a lot of live-friendly functions to keep things interesting.
+ Build quality is good and the units come with a deck saver and a soft case.
+ Sound is ... I don't know. I'm not a 303/606 purist at all. It's good enough for my taste :-)
- Power plugs are 9V center negative, but not the standard barrel diameters (booh!) so you need adapters if you don't want to use their power supplies, for example when you want to power the units with a USB power bank (which works great, as each unit draws less than 300mA).
- No PDF manuals (boooh!!!) ... in fact I didn't even get a reply asking for them. The units come with printed manuals, but in the era of tablets and full-text search I find those very inconvenient.

All in all they're fun though and the prices aren't bad either."

Laleh - Kristaller (Kebu Remix)

Premiered 28 minutes ago Kebu

Some more Kebu for you. Love the synth spotting and the ability to hear what each synth is generally doing in these.

"Written by Aida S, Frank Nobel and Laleh Pourkarim
Original produced by Laleh Pourkarim
Remix produced by Sebastian 'Kebu' Teir
Performed by: Kebu

This remix was made using analog synths and analog(* drum machines as the sole sound sources, in addition to the original vocals:

Cyclone TT-606; Dave Smith Evolver, Mopho & Tetra (x 2); Jomox AirBase99; Hypersynth Xenophone; Marion ProSynth; Moog Minimoog D; Oberheim Matrix 6R & Matrix1000 (x 3); Roland Alpha Juno 2, JX-3P (with KiwiTech upgrade), JX-8P, SH-09 and TR-808.

(* The AirBase99 has also samples in addition to the analog synth drums. However, for this music I only used the analog synth drums.

The song was sequenced with Cubase and mixed with a Yamaha LS9-32. The stems were further mixed and mastered using Cubase with various plugins.

Controllers used: M-Audio Trigger Finger; Roland JD-XA; Roli Seaboard Grand

Camera: Heidi Väisänen
Video editing: Kebu

Many thanks to Gustaf Thörn & Laleh for providing the stems for my remix!"

KORG VOLCA MODULAR // CYCLONE ANALOGIC TT-303 // VOLCA BEATS // BEHRINGER DEEPMIND 12 Session 2 B

Published on Jun 14, 2019 LESINDES

"BASICALLY:
In MODULAR the oscillator CV control Ins are subsequently being connected to function generator 2. WOGGLE is controlled by clock divider and is controlling the REVERB volume.
+ VOLCA BEATS + CYCLONE ANALOGIC TT-303 BASS BOT + some DEEPMIND 12 chords through TC TRIPLE DELAY. All mixed in FAT BUSTARD.

The MODULAR is a synthesizer with a potential but also with a lot of NOs, unfortunately. I really like the idea of it but it has:
1. unlike all the other Volcas NO Midi input
2. NO seperate gate input -- combined CV/Gate in so special stereo mini jack to 2 mono mini jacks cable needed
3. LPG is very low, only half as loud as LPG1, or my Volca is broken?!
4. Gate or CV output of keyboard and sequencer only in these fiddle sockets.
5. Cables with the soft easily bendable ends feel and are very fiddly. The raw cable ends slide easily out of the sockets even though you only gently touch the cables!
6. The black pot underbeath in front of both Cutoff pots should be the control voltage patched in sockets A + B but even if it is turned fully conterclockwise (= minimum) there is still CV being let out. I don't know if there is a work around for that or if my MODULAR is part of faulty batch??!
From min. 5 - 8 it is clock input is patched as source
by mistake but there is still a lot of entertaining tweaking
;-)"
