One of my favorite tracks.
Miami Vice Soundtrack - Crockett`s Theme
made by Jan Hammer (1986)

All parts made with the E-MU Emulator II (1984)

This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.
Check out the original songs with the original artists here on YouTube.
Thank you."

Madonna: "Into the Groove" Recreated using the same gear!!

video upload by Neon Nights: 1980s Music Production

"Hey guys!
This video and recreation of Madonna 1985 hit 'Into the Groove' has been a labor of love.

After obtaining the original Multitrack master (I cannot share). I was able to dive in and recreate each sound, and arrangement using the same synths as the original song. With the exception of a MKS 80, ( BASS) TR-727 (I used samples), and an Emulator II (for the PIANO solo).

It took over a week to map out, arrange, record, and mix. It was a ton of fun learning how the song was made. It was recorded with a UAD Apollo 16 , and Luna.

I hope you enjoy ! Comment please!

-Jon"

The film version is by far more extensive than Thief CD version.
Enjoy that sequence !"

"E-mu Emulator EIII in amazing shape and fully functional condition. It has the original 8mb sample memory installed. The hard & floppy drives have been upgraded with a SD SCSI drive (scsi2Sd) which allows the machine to boot and load banks easily/quickly. The machine was last serviced a little over 4 years ago and has been a work horse ever since."

"Everyone has probably heard or seen this sampler at some point in their life (whether they knew or not) Probably most famously used by Depeche Mode, but its was the prime choice for many bands in the 80's. It had great sounding sample libraries to cover most of your bases. Or you could sample your own sounds in. It recorded at a whopping 8-bits with a total of 17.5 seconds. That might not sound like a lot by today's standards but it had a special quality that gave it a distinct character. The real magic came from the analog VCFs and VCAs that finish out the signal chain. On top of all that, it was also 8 part multi-timbral (also 8 voice polyphonic) with a built in sequencer. This could essentially run your most of your show back in the day!

This particular unit is in really great shape and had the original top 5 inch floppy drive replaced with a much faster and larger HXC SD digital drive. Includes an SD card loaded with tons of classic sounds!"
