"Two fuzz channels based on the fuzz face circuit with a built-in pickup simulator.

Gnarly is a 7 knob beast that will destroy whatever you throw at it. It has many dead zones in the pots that will adjust based on the position of other pots. It's all about finding the sweet spots and living on those fine edges. The transistor pairs on this section are replaceable.

Oomph is a 5 knob bass friendly take on the fuzz face and compliments the upper harmonics of the Gnarly section. Pickup simulator - Fuzz circuits offer unique sound when paired with the inductance of the pickup coils in a guitar. This why it is often suggested to have fuzz pedals as your first in a pedal chain. So we've built-in a coil to simulate your eurorack signal being emitted by a guitar pickup. We've also included a pickup simulator output so you can use it to interface with other fuzz instruments (pedals, modules, etc.). As an added oddness - you can also input your guitar into the pickup sim output (just don't plug anything into the normal input). This will still get you Eurorack level output. Please don't input Eurorack levels into the pickup sim output.

Tips - Experiment with the pickup simulator and buffered signal. Use the PS.Level to keep the signal low, borderline on cutting out. You find lots of joy in the gnarly section by keeping this level at the edge."

"The P8S8 controller is for those who love those little sliders. The sliders behave like regular pots, so we named the module P8S8 (the "S" stands for the switches).

The P8S8 has eight Alpha sliders with a range of 20 mm. As a speciality the sliders contain LEDs. Their brightness can be controlled and used for any purpose. As long as you don’t use the LED registers, the brightness of the LEDs reflect the current slider positions. At the bottom the P8S8 has eight 3-way toggle switches.

As always in the DROID universe, it can be patched as whatever comes to mind, but looking at this module, it's almost imposing to be used as modulation sequencer or ADSR controller.

Shipping includes a short ribbon cable for connecting the controller to the master or to the previous controller. If you want to place the controller further away from the master, you can purchaser longer ribbon cables here in the shop."

A Revolution in Sound Design

The Subharmonic Oscillator is one of Serge’s latest inventions and one of his most extraordinary designs. 7 accurate analog VCOs tied at the waist—in unison, yet their frequencies can open like a fan, creating complex clusters. The Story behind Medusa

“I was sitting on a bench recovering from a bike ride at the edge of Fontainebleau forest, when a swarm of crows - some 30-40 of them, suddenly erupted in the sky above the large forest trees facing me.  They swirled in a large arc, emitting a few caws-caws, disappearing and reappearing wildly in the sky in front of me.  
And here is what this made me realize about my electronics: Drones have been part of my musical consciousness from the very beginning, thanks to LaMonte Young and the many examples of drones in Indian classical music.  One of my first electronic circuits was a 3 oscillator 9V operated shruti box. Maryanne Amacher, Eliane Radigue, Charlemagne Palestine, are drone masters I helped and fostered.  Charlemagne still uses the console of ultra stable drone oscillators that I designed for him more than 50 years ago.   
Drones and clusters, in fact.  Clusters, thanks to the marvelous composer Henry Cowell who coined the word for music. The fruit of all this, was me deciding on designing electronics for the creation of drones and clusters.   MEDUSA is the result of this project.

But what do a swarm of crows swirling in the sky above a forest have to do with drones and clusters??

EVERYTHING

MEDUSA is the perfect module for letting fly a swarm of semi independent musical notes, swirling in and out of unison, clusters, or chords, capable to scaling the entire range of frequencies, from sub-sonic to inaudible. MEDUSA gives wings to drones :)”

Orb Former – Euclidean Rhythm Module

The Orb Former generates two independent Euclidean rhythm sequences, evenly distributing beats across a set number of steps. These sequences are displayed on a clear OLED screen, allowing for up to 16 steps per sequence. Potentiometers adjust both beat and step count, enabling a range of polyrhythmic patterns. Dedicated buttons allow start and pause control for each sequence, while reset and interrupt options provide additional rhythm management. LEDs signal each beat, giving visual feedback. For instance, setting 16 steps with 3 beats on one channel and 13 steps with 5 beats on the other creates a complex pattern that only synchronizes every 208 steps—ideal for those looking to experiment with rhythmic depth. The Volt Glider CV Recorder captures touch gestures as CV signals and enables playback via a touch-sensitive interface. While you can convince it to deliver boomy kick drum sounds, clicky hi-hats or metallic snares, it would much rather be making glitchy artifacts, hollow crackles and horribly distorted growls. 'Today I'll show you some stuff with the new module by Schlappi Engineering, the BTFLD! It's the new member of the 4-Bit logic family by Schlappi Engineering but this one is the most audio oriented as it's main use are wavefolding, fuzz and distortion. It's small but hell it sounds BIG. It can also make weird things to CV and gates, and even be used to convert any signal into 4-Bit so you can use it to modulate / feed your other 4-Bit modules (Nibbler / BTMX)."



BTFLD (Bit Fold) is a distortion, wavefolder, and four bit asynchronous analog to digital converter. The folding output at audio rate provides a hard sync like timbre in a unique sawtooth wavefolder circuit.

The stepped output is a type of bit crushed effect and the square wave outputs provide different frequency multiplications or distortions.

Rhythms can also be generated by putting envelopes or LFOs into the input and using the bit outputs as gates.

It can also be paired with the rest of our four bit binary system (Nibbler, BTMX) for experiments in four bit computing and unusual logic based patching.
