Here's a Roland MC202 that was restored, then upgraded through our repair shop for Josh Vance. The wonderful creators over at Tubbutec really did some awesome upgrades for this Roland MC202. The Tubbutec Midi + Screen upgrade adds so many features including: -Three completely independent synthesizer control channels: -The internal synth, the 2nd CV/gate output and a 3rd MIDI out or DRUM channel. Each channel has its own clock divider and MIDI input and output. -Can be clocked via MIDI, DIN-sync or trigger using the TAPE-input. -Internal Swing generator -Versatile sequencer with 32 patterns, chainable in song mode, edit patterns and songs while playing, shortcuts for quick live arrangement. -Seven sequencer play directions. "The video I made shows the synchronization of the vintage Drum Machine brand KORG model KR55B with CUBASE via MIDI.
This was achieved by means of a KIT (uniPulse by tubbutec), purchasable via web. I have installed this KIT on my KR55B Drum Machine.
In the video I show various examples of rhythms by combining the Drum Machine with an analog synthesizer GRPA4.

"Brainstep Controller is an expander for our Brainstep eurorack module. While it is possible to change Brainstep’s envelope and LFO parameters using the menu, Brainstep Controller creates a more direct, hands on approach.
The 25 sliders let you control most accent, ADSR and LFO parameters. Additionaly, the glide time can be controlled. How to connect
Brainstep Controller is a specialized MIDI controller using TRS-A input and output jacks. A stereo jack cable needs to be used to connect the controller’s output the Brainstep’s TRS MIDI input. MIDI data coming into the controller’s TRS input is merged with the controller data and sent to Brainstep. This way, no MIDI input is lost when using the controller.
Visualizing parameter changes When receiving data from the controller, Brainstep can display the currently changing value on its display. To turn on this feature, go the Brainstep’s configuration menu and select Misc->Display->Overlay timeout. Here, you can set the number of seconds the value is shown, or turn this feature off.

"Here's a lovely Roland TR-808 drum machine that needed some repairs, then Midi added. This video is for Jason Massie (who owns this TR-808)
Repairs done:
-Power Supply Rebuilt
-Cleaning of Battery Corrosion, repair of 12 traces (lot's of acid went through a few sections of the traces)
-Repair to the Bass Drum circuit (decay was ringing out infinitely, once pattern was stopped) Faulty film capacitor, transistor found on this circuit as well.
-Repair to the Cowbell circuit (ringing out a high pitch all the time-battery corrosion fault)
-Installation of @tubbutec Unipulse Midi kit, which has an awesome online program where you can configure lot's of different drum sound/midi settings.
The Roland TR808 is such a legendary drum machine, used by just about every Genre of music starting in the 1980's to even today. They have a distinct sound/character that cuts through the mix, most known for their 808 kick, cowbell, clap, snare, etc."

"At Superbooth 2024 we met up with Tobias at the Tubbutec stand, who introduced us to the Brainstep module. Brainstep is a 4 track sequencer, clock distributor, euclidian arpeggiator and live recorder, with each track getting 4 ADSR envelopes which can be switched between linear and exponential behaviour, 4 accent envelopes, 8 syncable LFOS, and it even plays samples.
It's optimised for live performance and it has probability per step, and gives you 24 patterns which can be chained. It syncs via TRS, DIN sync or USB MIDI and there are 4 CV modulation inputs, microtuning, and it loads samples from an SD card.
