Empress ZOIA Euroburo | First Patch | feat. the MakeNoise Shared System

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"No it's not a competition. I was wondering if ZOIA would be able to 'do' a bit of DPO, Tempi, Rene, Echophon, Erbe-Verb and Morphagene. I am not clever enough to make ZOIA do it all at once, but it's a fun way to cover the various aspects of this amazing eurorack module."

Buchla Music Easel + Moog Matriarch

video upload by Genshi Media Group

"::| TO HEAR THE FULL RANGE OF FREQUENCIES AND STEREO EFFECTS, A GOOD PAIR OF HEADPHONES IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |::

A quick and simple little jam featuring the Buchla Music Easel and the Moog Matriarch. Effects used on the Music Easel were the TC Electronic MIMIQ Doubler and the Empress Effects EchoSystem pedals, and on the Matriarch, only the built-in Dual Analog Delay."

"If you are looking for a tweakable, uncomplicated and great-sounding source of electronic drum sounds, the Syncussion might be worth its weight in gold.

Sparkling analogue drum sounds are what you need to turn your tracks to gold, Germany's Touched By Sound company may have the answer in the form of the DRM1 eight-piece analogue drum module.

Chris Meyer's Alias Zone: The Cave

video upload by Learning Modular

"This performance premiered on April 1 2022 as part of @SynthFest France. It’s a mythical, musical exploration of the Lod Cave in Thailand, with the various musical parts rushing off to explore its various chambers and celebrate its mystery and beauty, while others are more apprehensive and suggest caution.

In this piece, Chris Meyer plays:
Pandora’s Box (modular synthesizer)
Ableton Live
Korg Wavestation and Arturia Pigments virtual synthesizers
cave ambience by Marcel Gnauk of FreeToUseSounds
wordless vocals by Holly Drummond via Black Octopus
graphical treatments: Trish Meyer"

OB-6 arp fun with onboard distortion

video upload by

"Just a fun little noodle using the OB-6's onboard distortion effect (set at 42). From there the output goes to the Strymon Zelzah and then to the Timeline, all in stereo. The Zelzah settings are as you see them on the unit and I swap sides and then layer both together. The arp is running at 90bpm with 16th notes on 'random' order. This gives an interesting variation in the sequence and, to my ears, makes it somehow hypnotic where the theme never changes yet the exact notes are always different. The Timeline is clock synced with the two delays on quarter notes and 3/4. I also found it interesting that the 'grit' amount on the Timeline actually has a noticeable effect on the OB-6 sound, whereas with the DB-01 it was 99% undetectable - strange.
Anyway, something a bit different from the usual sweet moody pads + huge reverb which the OB-6 so easily seduces you into playing.

OODA - NEW - Portable MIDI Step Sequencer - With Wormholes - Featuring SynthMaster 1 & 2 - For iOS
video upload by The Sound Test Room

And a few tutorials by the developer followed by full details:

Launch Party! Take 50% off OODA and ZOA for 72 hours.

OODA is a fresh take on the classic MIDI step sequencer with interactive and semi-generative enhancements.

What makes OODA unique is that you can connect arbitrary steps together using conditional “wormholes” to add structured (or random) variation to your sequences. Another unique feature is that OODA’s underlying model is decoupled from its voices. This allows you to interact with your sequences and create melodic variations in real time without affecting your groove.

OODA’s open-ended sequence grid can be easily configured for almost any use case. Anything from simple melodies and bass parts to semi-generative chords and arpeggios, OODA can do it all with a little creativity!
