"Thought of @matrixsynth when I bought this awesome "Hardware Girls" photobook in Tokyo"
:)
Update via the world of next tuesday in the comments: "I'm not familiar with her but did some quick research. Looks like she really multitasks (though I presume she has a staff). As a photographer she's Julie Watai or just Julie. She's modeling in her own pictures which aren't just music gear but vintage games and computers too. As a pro model she's called Ai Amano. Then she does chiptune singing gigs as JulieHally."

"Interview with JulieHally at Dreamhack Winter 2009 where saitone also played.
I try to limit posts to synths only, but I'll make an exception for this. Pro Tools has finally gone native. Video below.

"Geoff Farr of GSF Agency has taken over exclusive distribution of Tom Oberheim's new SEM product line. There is a new one, the SEM Pro, shown here playing beautifully with a Moog CP-251. The Pro combines the best features of both the MIDI and patchable versions, and includes Tom's personal signature on the front.
I had a lot of fun messing around with this prototype during testing, and I can honestly say that this pair is a killer combo!

"This is about a German TV Show from the past, called "Musikladen". Currently they repeat the whole lot, good for Synth-Spotting (and more) -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musikladen
Synth-wise they have lots of acts using Synths on the show, mostly they use their own synths on Stage, in other cases, they use the varying "resident" synths, basically a set of 2 MS-20 side by side or a 3-set from ARP (polyphonic (strings or piano), monophonic, sequencer.
"I started to be fascinated with electronic instrument in 1978. At that time, because of the price and as I was quite young, I started reading specialized electronic magazines trying to understand how to built a modular synthesizer. The first instrument I bought at 16 years old was a FM oriented Yamaha instrument. It was ok, but already at that time I wanted an analog sound..."
