Minilogue and MiniPops 7 JAM (Arduino by Jan Ostman) Ambient track feat. MT25d Monotribe Multimod
Published on Mar 13, 2016 Arrayzable
"This is a piece of a jam I did the other night. I really love the long sequences the Minilogue can do. Ideal for some ambient noodling.
The red lunchbox contains an Arduino Pro Mini running Jan Ostman's MiniPops 7, O2 code. The midi sync out was made possible by Brikand. On my little built there are only knobs for tempo and pattern shift. I plan on adding drum mute buttons for increasing variations.
The Monotribe is always fun and very easy to make some cool sounds with.
As always live play with synths and sequencers.
Used in this track:

DSP Synthesizers TR-927 - Fully Polyphonic 16-channel Drumsampler Proof of Concept Demos
The first V-host 909 sample synth

"This is a fully polyphonic 44.1KHz 16-bit drumsample player running on the RPi V-host."
The RPi V-Host TR-927 Synth

"Now with a 32-step drumpattern it is actually playing something."
Jan Ostman is the man behind DSP Synthesizers, makers of the tiny dsp-G1 synth and the recent mini Juno DCO based synths. I asked Jan if this would be a new product from DSP Synthesizers and he stated the following:
"This is part of the new Raspberry Pi Open Source DSP-Synth. Yes, Open-Source as in all code is free, open and runs on any RPi. I'm only planning on selling the V-Host hardware preinstalled but it runs on any Pi. The V-Host is actually a DSP-framework that runs on a Bare-Metal RPi. You just need the file installed on a SD-card. The different synths are plugins and the V-Host can run several plugins at the same time using different MIDI-channels for them. Much like a V-Machine. All that is needed is a MIDI connector on the standalone RPi. The TR-927 is the first plugin developed for proof of concept. It is a fully polyphonic 16-channel drumsampler."

The Arduino-Solina V2.0
Andreas Remshagen
"I experimented with Arduino-Synthmaking and found an Arduino-Solina String-Synth Device running with Midi made by Morocco Dave and Jan Ostman. I made a modification by adding a second Arduino for building a Stereo-Device for a lusher String-Sound.
Yah, i know its not a real solina or a strings synth but i never had build such a Device easier and cheaper. Its a nice Solution for using strings-effects. I only use the clean sound in this video-if you take effects as reverb, delay, phaser and a filter you will get a very nice sound
Here you can download Morocco Daves modified circuit:

The Code you can get ai Morocco Daves Site:

"Make your own mini MIDI synth with DSP-G1 Voice Chip analog modeling synthesizer by Jan Ostman at DSP Synthesizers. It's a tiny LPC810 chip programmed to read in MIDI streams and make music!
The chip reads TTL level serial MIDI data and outputs sound through a 44.1KHz Delta-Sigma DAC. The synth is a 15-DCO structured as 5-note paraphonic with a 24db lowpass filter with resonance. It also has: AMP ENV, filter ENV and LFO with sine or sample & hold waveform. If you want to use it with for example Arduino (as we did in our example photo), it can be connected to the ATmega TX port and controlled through a sketch. More chips makes it multitimbral

DSP Synthesizers JVS-01 Semi Analog Synth Voice
Published on Feb 24, 2017 Jan Ostman
"The chip has a Saw DCO, 24dB lowpass DCF with resonance, DCA amplitude and a 512-stage DDL Chorus.
All parameters are CV controlled."
via DSP Synthesizers
"New chip for 2017!
The JVS-01 is a semi-analog synthesizer voice in a 8-pin DIP.
The chip implements a Juno-style synthesizer voice with a saw integrator DCO, 24dB lowpass biquad filter with resonance, DCA with 1024 level amplitude control and a 512 stage DDL Chorus.
The chorus can be turned on or off.
The signal chain is 96dB 16-bit DSP and the DAC runs a 1MHz PDM signal.
Internal processing is done at a 66KHz sample rate.
The chip can be used as a voice chip for an analog voltage controlled synthesizer.
All CV inputs handle positive 0-5 volt input and the DCO pitch conforms to a 1v/Oct frequency response, 5 octaves, 61Hz – 2KHz range."

The dsp-G1 Analog Modeling Synthesizer - World's Smallest Hardware Synth?
You might have thought the Ploytec PL2 was the smallest hardware synth. Maybe not. You are looking at the complete synth, MIDI in to audio out.
Currently on Indiegogo
"The dsp-G1 is a computer model of an analog synthesizer running with a sample resolution of 44.1KHz and 16-bit. It reads the parameters from the frontpanel knobs and calculates the sound output. It is played through a MIDI-IN connection.
It features a 3-DCO variable waveform oscillator, 18dB Lowpass filter with resonance, 2 Envelopes and 1 LFO. That adds up to 17 frontpanel realtime knobs.
The waveform can be seamlessly morphed from Sine, Triangle, Pulse to Saw.
There is also a Wrap setting for additional harmonics.
The 18dB resonant lowpass filter sounds very realistic and selfoscillates at high resonance settings.
It's 5-Note paraphonic meaning that it can take 5-key chords but they are all routed through single filter and amp envelopes.
All internal calculations are done at 32-bit integer resolution and output at 16-bits.
The dsp-G1 is a standalone synthesizer and requires no computer to play.
Just MIDI input from a keyboard or sequencer."
