Analogue Solutions Polymath Paraphonic Synthesiser
Published on Nov 4, 2013 rezfilter·62 videos
"More Soon!
Here's a very quick first glance at the Analogue Solutions Polymath.
Shown in the video is the step sequencer running a bass sequence in unison mode, and then later in POLY mode, playing 4 notes.
The Polymath is an amazingly deep and complex synth, so several videos will be required to demonstrate its many strengths. Stay tuned!
This is the first video featuring direct-to-computer audio recording."

Ample Synthesizer Sequenced by 64-Step Analog Sequencer (AS500-SEQ)
video upload by rezfilter
"Here’s a quick, dawless jam using the Ample Synthesizer and the AS500-SEQ 64-step sequencer. It’s a 3-oscillator patch where two of the oscillators are getting their pitch modulated separately by the sequencer, giving it a nice moving feel. You’ll hear some GLIDE on one of the oscillators at the start — making the notes slide around a bit — and later I dial it back for a tighter sound."
Check with dealers on the right for availability.
Update:
Ample Synth - Dark Industrial Patch with Filter Overdrive | Analogue Solutions
video upload by rezfilter
"Dark industrial patch on the Ample Synth from Analogue Solutions. The bassline steps in an uneven pattern while the cutoff is moved by hand. Pitch shifts come in through the touch pads, patched into the matrix. A second oscillator gets added to the filter, and later the envelope generators tighten up the shape. Nothing polished — just a heavy, gritty sound built straight from the hardware."
Analogue Solutions Ample Synthesizer | Selected Patches
video upload by rezfilter
"Here’s a selection of patches created entirely on the Analogue Solutions Ample synthesizer — no external effects, no added distortion. Just pure Ample.
Ample combines the best elements from several AS products:
-The rich sound engine of Fusebox
-The jack patch points of Concussor Eurorack
-The patch pin matrix of Vostok
-The built-in echo from Dr Strangelove
-The sequencer and CV touch pads from Generator
While it draws from these classics, Ample has a character all its own.
It can be as simple or as deep as you want it to be.
Ample is packed with a wide and diverse range of controls, giving even the most experienced synthesists endless possibilities through both knobs and patch sockets.
At the same time, its familiar layout makes it easy for newcomers to jump in and start creating powerful, musical sounds — especially when paired with this manual and other resources."

rezfilter's 8-Step Sequence Wins Vacoloco GorF Contest
You might remember the contest from this post. It looks like rezfilter won with his "An 8-Step Sequence: Analogue Solutions Oberkorn & Telemark-K (Keyboard)" posted above and previously here.
via Vacoloco on Facebook: "The "win a gorf" competition has been extremely hard to judge, but sadly there can only be one Winner. In the case I've chosen Jason Subtractive's entry (below). Thank you again to all those entered, I can safely say that judging this competition was considerably harder than I was ever expecting. The quality of entries was just outstanding."

Analogue Solutions Polymath Paraphonic Modular Synthesiser #02
Published on Nov 4, 2013 rezfilter·63 videos
"More live Polymath!
Here's a little paraphonic action (chords) while Polymath's onboard sequencer steps a steady rhythm. Nothing is processed and MIDI is NOT used in this example. The chords were played live, hence the slight off-beat nature of the performance.
After the first bit, you'll hear ENV1 being switched to ENV2 (manually).
A new Polymath playlist has now been created on YouTube and new videos will continually be added . You can subscribe to the rezfilter channel to get the updates!
Enjoy!"

Sound of Science Featuring Tom Carpenter of Analogue Solutions & Rezfilter
Sound of Science: "Hydrodome" teaser video! (feat. John Von Ahlen of Parralox)
Published on Feb 24, 2013
Quick note: as you know, I normally do not post music on MATRIXSYNTH for the sake of music. All posts are ultimately about synth spotting and synth demos. I do make the exception for manufacturers as they give you some insight into the music they make. Tom Carpenter is the man behind Analogue Solutions and Medic. He along with Jason aka Rezfilter who brought us some great demo videos for Analogue Solutions is working on a new release under their moniker Sound of Science.
"Here's a teaser video for our upcoming single, 'Hydrodome' by Sound of Science.

7. Analogue Solutions Colossus delivery
Customer report:- Yesterday, on July 14th 2020, I received delivery of my Analogue Solutions Colossus mega synth -- and I can officially confirm that synthesizers like this only come around once in a decade, or possibly a generation.8. Analogue Solutions Colossus - more than a synthesizer (widescreen)
It is at once: enormously impressive, and it begs to be touched, fondled, turned, pinned (matrix), patched, and played.
In my short time with this sonic work of art, the Analogue Solutions Colossus is indeed a dream synth that is wrapped in a meticulously formed wooden case.
I love it, and I look forward to sharing it with you soon. -Rez

Analogue Solutions Leipzig-s Percussion and Drums Part 1
Published on Sep 4, 2013 rezfilter·58 videos
"Headphones required!
Here's Part 1 of the Analogue Solutions Leipzig-s synthesizer performing one of its primary roles: drums and percussion!
This video features various basses, snares and quirky percussive blips that come together at video's end along with a Leipzig-s bass line.
The built-in analogue sequencer is especially useful when designing percussive noises and sounds that are unique and not pre-packaged sounding!

Analogue Solutions Leipzig-s Percussion and Drums Part 2
Published on Nov 12, 2013 rezfilter·66 videos
"Take it up a notch! http://tinyurl.com/lctm7ra
Here's part 2 of Analogue Solutions Leipzig-s percussion and drums.
This video is created by request from several Leipzig owners who desire a visual starting point to begin creating percussion on the Leipzig-s synth. All pots can be seen clearly in the video (use 1080p for full screen) and many unused settings are set flush left.
In this video, the Leipzig-s is not connected to MIDI, but is stepping the sequencer from its own LFO. Everything is done in real time.
For more creative drum patterns, the Leipzig can be attached to MIDI and used alongside your DAW.
The Leipzig synth line has incredibly fast envelopes and percussion/drums are some of its strong suits.
Enjoy"

Analogue Solutions Impulse Command Played and Sequenced via CV Control
Published on Sep 12, 2019 rezfilter
"Here's a quick little video of the Analogue Solutions Impulse Command being played (as a standard synth would be played!) and also taking the same sound and sequencing then transposing it via the Impulse Command's internal analogue sequencer.
Not only does the IC excel at creating some of of the best analogue sequencer loops you can muster, but it's also a fantastic, versatile and playable synth controllable via MIDI or CV.
Note: The custom blue face is limited in supply. Contact AS regarding this point.
Enjoy!"

The Impulse Command (ltd. blue edition) was played live while the other synths were driven live by analogue sequencers (chained) and were tweaked live.
Enjoy!"

A great tool for inspiration!

Analogue Solutions AS500-SEQ Driving a Vintage ARP Odyssey | 64-Step CV Sequencer Demo
video upload by rezfilter
"AS500-SEQ connected to a vintage ARP Odyssey.
It’s sending gate and CV to the Odyssey and clock to the Arturia DrumBrute. Tempo and start/stop are controlled directly from the sequencer.
X, Y, and Jump switches are triggered live to modify the sequence. CV is also patched into the Odyssey’s Pedal input for subtle shifts.
Glide from the AS500-SEQ is active throughout.
The DrumBrute’s audio is fed into the Odyssey’s External Input."
Ample Synthesizer: Sweeping Cutoff with Built-In Echo
video upload by rezfilter
"This patch on the Ample Synthesizer features a multi-oscillator sequence running via its onboard sequencer. The resonance is set high to highlight the harmonic character of the filter as I sweep the cutoff frequency. You’ll hear how the onboard echo effect adds depth and movement to the sound. I’m also using the touchpads, each preset to a different cutoff value via its dedicated pot, allowing for quick and expressive tonal changes throughout the sequence."

Live Analog Synth Jam w/ an Analogue Sequencer: ObieRack!
video upload by rezfilter | August 04, 2010
"LIVE! (Direct Audio Recording) *Wear Headphones*
Nothing mixed, just raw analog synths chained together the 'old-fashioned' way.
Playing w/ the new customized Studio Electronics ObieRack + a few other fun analog toys. Analogue Solutions Oberkorn is the analog sequencer here running all three analog synths simultaneously: Roland 100m, Sequential Circuits Pro One, and SE ObieRack. Oberkorn is also controlling filters on the ObieRack. The ObieRack is patched out extensively in the back (16 patch points) to interface w/ other modular gear - note the custom gray faceplate on the Oberheim SEMs. Lovely."

Colossus Happy Holidays 2020

"Without an actual tree in 2020, Colossus fits the bill to accommodate all of my blingy and kitschy Christmas ornamentations! Here's a little December sequence I wanted to capture before changing my patching. All Colossus of course, and all in a single take without a DAW! It's the best synth that won't fit under any tree!
Stay synthy, and let's hope for a better year in 2021!
