US Highway 395: Owens Valley (Independence to Bishop)

"We ride north on US 395 as it traverses the arid Owens Valley on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada; we start in the town of Independence and end in Bishop. In the community of Big Pine, the Californa Highway 168 joins with US 395 en route to Bishop.

The Owens Valley is among the deepest valleys, wedged between the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada and the Inyo and White Mountains to the east. The rain shadow leaves most of the valley a dry, desert environment. The Owens River, an which runs through the valley, has been heavily tapped as a main water supply for Los Angeles, which makes the valley even drier. Nonetheless, it is quite beautiful, as is US 395.

"We take a ride over New York's iconic Brooklyn Bridge, starting on the FDR Drive in Manhattan and ending in Downtown Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Bridge opened in 1883 as the first span crossing the East River and the longest and tallest suspension bridge at the time. It is still instantly recognizable with its stone arched towers and unique cable system.

"Just got the new Korg Modwave Native synth app. I have wavetable synths both hardware and software, but this one is just fantastic. Haven't even had near enough time to go deep on it yet but it's reasonably straightforward to work with (although I'll still read the manual as there's tons of stuff here). Hundreds of wavetables, and samples as well, which I haven't even gotten to yet. And 2,000 modulation slots (!). Gosh, I hope that's enough LOL.
