I tried to include most of your requests (and some of my own) when it was possible, some of them I did my own take, trying to satisfy similar goals into a single approach. Now we have a couple new effects, you can save synth engine's patches, customize your macro Knobs from the device, pattern link, scene repeat, copy and re-arrange stuff inside or between packs... Novation Circuit Tracks - Ostinato of the Year

"I was going to call this 'arpeggio of the year' but then I thought that this technically might not be an arpeggio, but an ostinato. An arpeggio is a broken chord where individual notes are played sequentially to outline a specific harmony. In contrast, an ostinato is a stubborn, repeating musical or rhythmic pattern that serves as a continuous foundation throughout a piece. A mainstream music consumer would call it 'boring', and might be wondering why anyone would record such a boring thing. Well, I do it for "idea preservation": I liked this little loop of notes well enough to do a recording with it, so I won't forget it, to use it in a real song some day, when it fits. I called it "of the year" because I will most likely not find a catchier loop than this in 2026."

1 hour chill synth jazz improv on Novation Circuit Tracks

"Yay! Finally, I don't have to play anything by myself anymore! Just press start and stop. And no, it's no masterpiece and very lazy and repetetive, I think it's interesting that every single beat in that whole hour is unique and different from the next - it never repeats. Same goes for the visuals: especially the lava lamp makes it that every single frame in that video also is unique. Although no AI was used in this production, IT was heavily involved: the second track of the NCT plays its notes randomized. So what's the difference between this and using AI? Well, at least I (a human being) gave the NCT a group of notes and chords to play randomly, instead of just typing something into a prompt. Also, it's a test: will a long video like this, playing interchangeable background muzak, perform better than my other stuff? And to the fellow Circuiteers: the patch you are hearing is my attempt at creating some kind of a piano-like sound on the NCT. If you want me to share that, let me know in the comments."

"Like many others around the world I watched the moody trailer for Rockstar's billion dollar GTA6 game yesterday.

As a result, I've had the iconic Roland CR-78 drum pattern stuck in my head all day.

(Just for fun) This was my way of clearing it out of my head (CR87 samples and Novation synthwave pack).....it just has to go downhill once the drum break comes in though ;) apologies drum fans....(cue rapid fade).....

The arrangement is a very loose representation of the original....

Added some CR78 samples, and a distorted guitar chord sample (triggered as a drum hit on Drum 4)
Everything you hear was played live off the Tracks. I was determined to not use ANY other synths so all the melody and pads are played on the same two intruments.

To be clear: I bought this synth with my own money, thanks to the support of my Patreon community. So while I recognize that the following praise seems effusive, it's the truth.

I got into hardware through grooveboxes. I started with the Novation Circuit and got more complex from there. The groovebox—sequencer, multiple timbres of synth, drums, samples, and effects—is my happy place. And while many devices have been good, I've never found "the one", that one groovebox that does everything you want it to do. Until now, maybe.

I've played with MPCs quite a bit over the last few years, but this newest generation, and this model in particular, is the one. It's a combination of things: a mature platform with fast loading and workflow; every conceivable sound type I want, from synths to samples to piano; a robust collection of effects, with great reverbs, delays, and ways to mess up a sound; more tracks than I'll ever need for a song; a sequencer without the limitations of 64 or 128 steps; clip launching; simple audio recording in; auto-sampling to capture your own sounds; MIDI in and out via 5-pin DIN and USB; MIDI learn with peripheral MIDI controllers that works flawlessly; USB multi-track audio recording that just works without a hitch; so much more.
