Sequential Fourm - He bought the Sequential Fourm, for the wrong reasons, and you may want to too!
video upload by kgbirmingham media
Don't miss the videos below. Also see Sequential Fourm - The Non Prophet Presets by kgbirmingham media.
"I traded in my Roland MC-707 for a Sequential Fourm. And, I did it for all the wrong reasons!
This video is different than my usual music videos. I needed a synth that was simple to use, could be a Polyphonic Aftertouch Controller for my ASM Hydrasynth and horror of all horror had MiniKeys.
So, this is why I bought the Sequential Fourm and why you may want to too!
Enjoy!
For the Techies
There’s not much to say about the tech. I recorded the narration directly into a Zoom R4 and transferred it to my DAW - Fender Studio Pro 8.
The background music is five tracks all created on the Sequential Fourm using Factory Presets.
The signal chain is fairly straightforward: MC-707, into a pair of SSL SixChannels, into a Drawmer MQ-2 EQ/Compressor/Saturator, into a Lindell 77X Compressor and into an Allen&Heath ZEDi10 Interface/Mixer.
Processing was limited to Waves L1 Limiter, Beyerdynamic Headphone Lab and UADx Manley Variable Mu Compressor. No Reverb. No Delay. Do Effects at All.
Everything was recorded through an Allen&Heath ZEDi10 and into Fender Studio Pro 8.
Video:
Fujifilm X-T3 camera with Fujifilm 10-24mm lens and an iPhone SE and iPhone 17.
The final video was edited in DaVinci Resolve.
Recording and monitoring was through an Allen&Heath ZEDi10 with Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro and Beyerdynamic Headphone Lab.

Sequential Fourm - For All The Wrong Reasons - The Song!
video upload by kgbirmingham media
"Sequential Fourm – For All The Wrong Reasons – The Song!
When I shot my Sequential Fourm video 'For All The Wrong Reasons' I created a background music track using only the Sequential Fourm for that video.
It is short, but I like it, so I put it together with some video on a misty day from Marie Curtis Park.
Enjoy!
For the Techies
The background music is five tracks all created on the Sequential Fourm using Factory Presets:
1 - A New Legend, 44 - Ryan Reverse, 69 - Sin Cussion, 72 - PluckyArp, 42 - Mini Prophet

Sequential Fourm Creating Chaos
video upload by kgbirmingham media
"Sequential Fourm – Creating Chaos
This is a 'Making Of' type video. I just recently purchased a Sequential Fourm and I wanted to create a 'Song' using only Fourm Presets. So, I created six tracks, using six Fourm Presets. I ran the Fourm through a TC Electronic Plethora (Chorus, Delay, Reverb) and played around with the Filter, Noise, ARP and Amp Envelope.
I put “Song” into quotes, because it is rather cacophonous. Anyway, I like the variations of tone, structure and noises!
Enjoy!
For the Techies
There’s not much to say about the tech. I recorded the narration directly into my DAW - Fender Studio Pro 8. I used an AKG 414B microphone running through an ART TransX Preamp into an Allen&Heath ZEDi10 Interface/Mixer.
I recorded six tracks all created on the Sequential Fourm using Factory Presets.
The signal chain is fairly straightforward: Fourm, into TC Electronic Plethora X3 (stereo output), into a pair of SSL SixChannels, into a Drawmer MQ-2 EQ/Compressor/Saturator, into a Lindell 77X Compressor and into an Allen&Heath ZEDi10 Interface/Mixer and recorded in stereo directly into my DAW (Fender Studio Pro).
Processing was limited to Waves L1 Limiter, Beyerdynamic Headphone Lab and UADx Manley Variable Mu Compressor. No Reverb. No Delay. Do Effects in the DAW
Everything was recorded through an Allen&Heath ZEDi10 and into Fender Studio Pro 8.

1982 Sequential Circuits Prophet 10 Overview
video upload by Wannit BBBad
"I am the original owner of this 1982 Sequential Circuits Prophet 10. I sold to a friend years ago and am now posting this video for him. The P10 has the original MIDI kit sold by Wine Country installed and includes the two original CV pedals and original momentary pedal for sustain or program increment. There are plenty of videos that do deep dives on the Prophet 5 and Prophet 10, so I primarily just want to quickly hit on all of the functions working and point out some of the things that make this much more than two Prophet 5 synths."
Sequential Circuits Prophet 10 Control Voltage Pedals
video upload by Wannit BBBad
"Here's a short video of some of the flexibility added to the 1982 Sequential Circuits Prophet 10 performance using the factory Control Voltage (CV) pedals. Pedal 1 can be assigned to any combination of Freq A, Freq B, Filter, Amp, and Mono-Mod. Pedal 2 can be assigned to Filter and Amp. Pedal 1 and Pedal 2 simultaneously control both Prophet 5 boards."
Brooklyn Synth & Pedal Expo Set for October 17–18
Press release follows:
BROOKLYN, NY — The Brooklyn Synth & Pedal Expo returns October 17–18, transforming a 7,000-square-foot Greenpoint warehouse into an immersive playground for electronic music creators.
Presented in partnership with the legendary Three Wave Music, the Expo offers a strictly in-the-headphones experience — letting attendees demo the latest synthesizers, effects pedals, and modular gear from over 100 brands in a noise-friendly environment.
Nestled in one of Brooklyn's most vibrant musical corridors, the show is expected to draw more about 2,000 visitors, a mix of musicians, producers, and gear enthusiasts.
"Intro to Synthesis" Workshops
This year, the Expo expands beyond its large exhibition floor with a new lineup of educational workshops focused on synthesis — from hands-on patch-building sessions to deep dives into modular workflows, led by working artists and builders. A schedule of the workshops will be announced soon.

BOARDS OF CANADA - 1986 Summer Fire (COVER - Prophet REV2)
video upload by nicola neeco
"1986 Summer Fire: the last track of Boards of Canada’s Twoism EP.
For this cover I used only my Sequential Prophet Rev2, trying to get as close as possible to that warm, slightly worn-out synth tone from the original.
I’m a huge fan of Boards’ short tracks and interludes, the ones that sit between the “proper” songs. To me, some of their real gems are hidden there: small sketches that say more in 30 seconds than whole albums do.
This is my little tribute to one of those moments."

Sequential Fourm - The Non Prophet Presets
video upload by kgbirmingham media
"Sequential Fourm – The Non-Prophet Presets
I almost didn’t buy the Fourm, because most of the demos I watched focused on the “Prophet Sound,” which is great, but I was hoping for more versatility then that.
When I got it home and went through all the Factory Presets, I soon discovered that it is a very versatile synth with lots of character and it is quite capable of producing Non-Prophet Sounds!
So, the following are a whole bunch of Non-Prophet sounds, with a few classics put in, just because.
I did not apply any effects and the only plug-in I used was a Limiter.
Enjoy!

Here is the list of Presets.

SetonixSynth SKYWAVE & SCAFFOLD / feature rich 4-segment VCO and expander / playthrough
video upload by BRiES and SetonixSynth
"SkyWave is what happens when you combine a versatile oscillator core with 4 waveshapes, 4 ringmodulators and a sequential switch going at audio rates. The result is an ultra-capable module that delivers interesting complex tones that you simply can't get with just a regular VCO. The built-in normalisations are all accesible by patching up the module differently (resulting in even richer timbres). The expander Scaffold adds direct control over each segment and spits out a subdivided clock which can be used for whatever you want!
In this video I tried to showcase most of the functionality and features of SkyWave and Scaffold."

Sequential Fourm factory preset demo Bank 1
video upload by theover2
"I'm playing my new Sequential Fourm analog synthesizer, recorded the video with a Samsung S24 Ultra in HDR/10bit 4K 60Fps, recorded the analog output of the synthesizer with my Yamaha MG16 XU mixer/AD/DA converter, recording with the "pw" (PipeWire) tools on Fedora 44 (Linux) . Then I loaded the results in Davinci Studio (on the same Fedora 44 machine), aligned the tracks, and saved in HDR format for Youtube.
All the music is played by me on that synthesizer, live. No Midi, no edits, no effects, and no other sounds sources."

Blind Sample Challenge: 4 Random Samples on the Torso S-4 (Vol. 41)
video upload by Andre Bregegere
"Welcome to Vol. 41 of my Torso S-4 explorations! In this video, I take on a blind 4-sample challenge: building a complete 4-track ambient soundscape from scratch using four randomly picked samples from the Bastl MicroGranny library. Because the files use non-descriptive, sequential labels, I had no idea what sounds I was getting until they hit the tracks.
With zero planning and no preparation, every decision is made on the spot. I work through each track sequentially, sculpting textures, grains, and filters to weave unrelated sounds into a cohesive sonic environment. Toward the end, I break down how to set up and perform with Macro modulations to bring dynamic motion across the entire patch.
The video is heavily annotated with on-screen notes detailing each step of the sound design workflow, modulation routing, and granular processing.

• Post-Processing: Lightly mixed and mastered in Pro Tools"

MATRIARCH + TAKE 5 + MAGNETO | Live Synth Performance #37 (DEPARTURE)
video upload by David Falcon
"This last few months I've been downsizing a lot in the studio, while focusing on creating a compact system within the Eurorack. Have lots of redundancies and gear that I haven't been using much. Now has been the time for the Sequential Pro 3. I used it a lot in some projects, but the last two years has been gathering dust, so it was time for it to find a new home.
Still trying to find the perfect balance. However I find these these two, the Moog Matriarch and the Sequential Take 5 , so inspiring that I hardly see myself parting with any of them. My plan is to pair the modular with the Matriarch more in the future, so we will see.
Also the Magneto is growing on me, I loved the Strymon dTape sound from the Timeline, but this one is AMAZING. Takes anything to a whole different sound world.
Lastly, I used Rings into FX Aid (Gen Loss algorithm) for the bass sound.
Mastered in Ableton.

This one was spotted and sent in via
M Me.
"Ultra rare Sequential Prophet 3000 sampler, serial number 0016 of only 252 units ever made, maybe a prototype.
In very good aesthetic shape.
Includes detachable screen, original Wine Country spare cable phone like connector
Original box with original blue foams with vintage stamps
Original 15 Sequential sample diskettes (maybe valued in 300 euros or more)
Extra diagnose diskette
The detachable screen works and shows the logo and the options, it loads but nothing sounds, my tech recapped, used the Wine Country survival kit we bought (bill included) but he lacked of the skills to fix it, and I do not know any with enough expertise, so I am selling as it for any who wants to have this rare piece of Sequential history.
Totally complete, any chip, board, piece is missed but the easy to get rack ears.
No returns, no warranty, sold as is."

APHEX TWIN - #8 (COVER - Prophet REV2, Elektron Syntakt & OP-1field)
video upload by nicola neeco
"I made a cover of #8, also known as 'Blur,' by Aphex Twin, from the iconic album Selected Ambient Works Volume II (Warp Records 1994)
One of the darkest and most hypnotic tracks on the album, Blur has a unique atmosphere that I tried to reinterpret using a small setup of 3 hardware instruments.
I recorded the entire performance in a single take, using:
• Sequential Prophet Rev2 for the main synth parts (with Valhalla Vintageverb reverb)
• Elektron Syntakt for the drums and rhythmic elements (no samples)
• Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field for the string sound
A special thanks to my friend Lorri for lending me his OP-1 Field for this performance.
