Grimsel, August 2021 - A boulder in the foreground, suspended between balance and collapse, as if time itself were holding its breath. Across the horizon, a snow-draped ridge stretches endlessly, while in the distance a solitary peak rises into the clear, boundless sky. It feels as if an unseen eagle circles above – carrying longing and vastness on its wings.

A long-held wish continues — merging my photographs with my music.

While the first piece, WHEN SILENCE FELL, embraced darkness and stillness, this second work carries a brighter pulse. Captured one evening in Nice with a Canon EOS 5D, the image glows with color and movement. Its title plays on both the city’s name and the beats of light — vibrant, electrifying, alive.

WHEN SILENCE FELL
A weekend tucked away in the mountains. Two souls meet in solitude, expecting a quiet evening. But sometimes, silence breaks — and words change everything.

When Silence Fell — a moment suspended between shadow and truth. This photo was taken in Toggenburg, Switzerland. The moment I snapped it, I knew right away how it should look — like in an old black-and-white Hitchcock movie.

"All sounds in the track to this video are from Club of the Knobs’ SYNTHESIZER MODEL 15.

The pad at the beginning consists of a few samples which I recorded into an AKAI MPC4000 to play the sound polyphonically. I was surprised by the quality once I played the pad the first time. The other sound at the beginning is VCO1 C921 modulating C904a. For the sound which probably gives the speakers a decent workout I have used the C921 as LFO. Listen also to the sounds in the high frequencies. For the Arpeggio I have used the ARP from the C952 Keyboard Controller.

Beside the pad all other sounds are directly recorded from the M15’s output."

Sound #1 "Pad" - It starts with a simple pad sound that develops to a kind of SQR pad, then almost sounds like strings, but can also sound biting.
Sound #2 'Good Trump' - A brass like sound, somewhere between trombone and trumpet."
