"This is a very rare CV to MIDI converter. The Digi-Atom 4800 can operate in 4 modes as explained here" [see first scan image below]
Depending on the operating mode, you can split the polyphony on 3 MIDI channels with or without Velocity control. There are 2 (depending on the mode) CV to Program Change converters, on MIDI ch. 1 & 2. Also you can convert CVs to Pitch Bend, Modulation, Release and Option (control 65) MIDI controls. And more...There's a Sync24 to MIDI clock converter w/ Sync24 Thru ! The Digi-Atom 4800 will send Start, Stop and Clock message from a Sync24 master to any MIDI sequencer or drum machine. As you can guess, you can expect a lot of fun and experiments with this unit. But let's see an example of setting [see second two scans below]
This one only had a brief mention here. Some details from Roland US:

That's the same thing they used for doing it, so it sounds very similar, and I'm quite proud of myself :) The beat is sampled from the track, and the other synth was quickly done on Korg MonoPoly VST, Ableton Live is controlled by the Edirol PCR500

"Novation Xio 25
(JAS_review0067
A review video from justastudio
Novation has always been one of my darlings in the world of synthetic sounds.
This little synthesizer is much more than plastic box with sounds. Its also a soundcard and midi controller. Great for travelling purposes or in the low-budget home recording studio.
The video shows me playing live and running through some of the presets programmed by various top artists such as: Ferry Corsten, Jamiroquai and Roots Manuva. Minor tweaking and pitching.
You need to like the sound of Novation and dont expect any analogish sound from this little beast.
Furthermore its not build like a 70s synth which means the knobs and the case itself is a bit too plastic for my taste.
But I was (still am) impressed. The soundcard is far better than M-audio, EMU 0202 and other low-budget recording gear. It only needs USB power to run and on top of that a 3 osc synthesizer with a decent sound.
Value for money.
EQ, compression and limiter added in the final mix/mastering.
(Some clipping might occur)
Please keep in mind that this track was entirely done for showing what sounds you can get from the Novation Xio synthesizer.
