Niji ~nanoloop & SV-5~

YouTube via humanmaestro

"This tune is 'Niji' by DENKI GROOVE.
So I performed on "nanoloop for iPhone" and "Vocoder SV-5" these are Phone/iPod touch musical apps.

"nanoloop for iPhone" version 3.0.3 is 8bit game sound software by Oliver Wittchow. And "Vocoder SV-5" version 1.2.0 is authentic Vocoder and polyphonic Synthesizer like a Roland VP-330."

Dark Energy classic acid house

YouTube via darenager
"Doepfer Dark Energy sequenced by Elektron Machinedrum.

Using the Dark Energy as an acid synth, the Machinedrum provides all the drums, the accents and slides are sequenced using velocity and pitchbend.

No compression or EQ just a bit of space echo on the Doepfer.

Enjoy the trip!"

Electronically Modified Didgeridoo controls realtime video processes

YouTube via yakthekyle (click for more including visuals of the didgeridoo)
This is the first steps in a new project of mine involving real-time video processing using the audio from my Electronically Modified Didgeridoo. This is a test of just some basic dynamic control from which much more complex control will follow as the project continues. Audio from the didgeridoo is filtered into bands in Max/MSP which are then used to control different parameters via a micro controller. Two video signals are being manipulated by means of dirty mixing and PWM through an analog switching chip. If anyone has some advice of just a good idea in regards to this project, please let me hear.

The Wonderful Dual Wogglebug!

YouTube via sduck409
"This is a demo of some of the capabilities of my recently built Dual Wogglebug. The idea here was to improve on my earlier builds of #3 Standard Wogglebugs by adding some of the features of the Wiard Wogglebug, such as the child tone outs and several leds. I only scratch the surface of the functionality of this device with this video - this is a very richly featured source of random voltages and sounds. Please excuse the nerdy guy at he beginning."

BTW, don't miss this post on why everyone should consider a modular.

MIDI Sequencing - Korg Electribe vs. Roland SH201

Maestro Oberheim Uss-1 Synthesizer Pedal

via this auction
"The USS-1 was created by Tom Oberheim, who designed several other of the early Maestro effects. The USS-1 is not truly a synthesizer as we know them today, this one is really one of the first multi-effect units with a few extras. Also note that this unit is also a bit larger than multi-effect floor units of today as well. Built in power supply, built like a tank, vintage sounds....it's all here! Features: Distortion, Filter Sample/Hold Function, Phaser, Envelope Filter, and Subharmonic Enhancer. A favorite of guitar whiz Al DiMeola."

You can find some shots of the inside of a Maestro in this post.
