Nanoloop FM + Playdate Glitch Visuals
video upload by Perplex On
"Receiving my #Playdate recently reminded me of another fun device that has been greatly neglected by me unfortunately, the #NanoloopFM. So i thought i could take the chance to bring all these clicky buttons together 😉 All sounds here are coming from the Nanoloop (spiced up with #Artifacts app @numericalaudio4903 ). It’s plugged into the Playdate via TRRS which runs an early version of an upcoming playdate app @humbletune that creates awesome interactive and audioreactive lofi visuals! I’m switching here through different scenes and add live glitch fx on the fly. So much fun! Here also projected from above using playdate’s mirror companion app."

Nanoloop FM Device (Synth Sequencer Drum machine chip tunes LSDJ)
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"These devices are not currently available, but you can read about them on the Nanoloop website here.
It's a 4 channel synth/sequencer/drum machine and it works great. The battery holders can be a bit tight for some brands of AAA battery (this is a known issue), but I was able to use my Ikea rechargeables fine.
I find the GUI on this device a bit hard to get used to and I'm having a change around of my gear (selling some stuff so that I can buy other stuff...)"

"Nanoloop is a Stepsequencer which means that a pattern of 1/16 notes is played repeatedly while these notes can be edited in various respects like volume, pitch etc. There are no channel / instrument settings, instead all parameters are set step-wise.
There are four channels, playing simultaneously. Each channel's patterns can be saved to file slots in flash memory and are then available for new combinations."

New Standalone Version of Nanoloop
nanoloop device digital : first jam - Masaki Takada
"A year and a half later, Nanoloop finally appeared! At first I was confused by the minimal interface, but once I got used to it, I could treat it like an existing cartridge version. I made an electro pattern.
enjoy! :)"
You might remember the Kickstarter back in March of 2019. Nanoloop has been a Nintendo Game Boy program up to this point. See the nanoloop label at the bottom of this post for more.

Analogue Pocket - New Open Source Nintendo Gameboy w/ Nanoloop
Uploaded on Oct 16, 2019 Analogue Pocket Nanoloop Demos
via Analogue Pocket
"Pocket has a digital audio workstation built in called Nanoloop. It’s a synthesizer and a sequencer. Designed for music creation and live performance. Shape, stretch and morph sounds. Capture music or play and sculpt live.
Head over to www.analogue.co for more details on Analogue Pocket and Nanoloop.
*Video and audio footage is not captured on an Analogue Pocket and is showcased for demo purposes only. The final version of Nanoloop for Analogue Pocket is in development and subject to change.*"
Pocket is shipping in 2020 for $199.
What's key here is the following:
"Pocket is designed for development. We added a second dedicated just for developers to develop & port their own cores."
Should be interesting to see if any new synth apps are made for it. Sunvox, Electroplankton, and Korg DS-10 come to mind.

ambient_02 delay_repeat: rhodes, meeblip, nanoloop, count to five, H9
Published on Sep 23, 2018 Chris Randall
"Some Sunday afternoon vibes. The Rhodes is running through the Montreal Assembly Count To Five pedal, where I grab that initial chord that provides the bed of the song. From there, to an Eventide H9 Max for some reverse delay action, and then in to the iPad.
The Gameboy (running the nanoloop mono cartridge) goes in to the Field Kit, and the Field Kit's aux output is running to a Radio Shack Reverb, and back in to the Field Kit. From there, in to the iPad.
The synth sound is coming from an original MeeBlip, which is driven via MIDI from Bram Bos' Particle MIDI plugin (part of his Rosetta suite of MIDI plugs) running on AUM, which provides the mixing duties and also hosts Audio Damage Eos 2, Rough Rider 2, Dubstation 2, and Discord 4 plugins."
