"This was the first synthesizer made by Star Instruments after the company was set up by ex-EML employees. Suitably it has a very vintage sound to it. Very EML, Arp, Octave Cat, 70s sound going.
My favorite thing is the pad range. Set to maximum you can play all twelve tones across the octave. Kinda like some mini synth marimba. Top, middle, bottom of each pad is a different note.
Here is a Youtube video of the exact unit you are buying. Made by the person I bought this from a few months ago."

the Mini Modular Maiden Voyage

Now it's time to actually play something with it and therefore I have created this video. The style is a bit more experimental compared to what I normally play. But the idea is to demonstrate some of the things this little collection of boxes can do.

Everything is played on the modular synthesizer and the polyphonic mini organ showed in the video. The sound was recorded in seven tracks so it could be performed live with seven of these sets and seven people.
The sound has not been processed in any way during mixing except for level adjustment and panning."

kennykeyboard — April 22, 2010 — "more noodling around with both analog synths. A whistly lead sound is used for that cell phone tune and then I grind up some Moog Bass. The prophet has a squeaky mono sound and then some of the usual strings and brass pads. The cat listens in on the outdoors segment."
