"Ude på det blå ocean" - Yamaha and Technics organs
YouTube via organfairy | September 21, 2010
"One of my colleges are constantly referring to me as the "organ-ferry" - I don't now if he sees me as an old barge!!!
Anyway, I visited this nice little place in the northern part of the Danish main land and decided that it could be a fine setting for a video. The melody is called "Out on the blue sea" and was a big hit in Denmark for the band Dodo and the Dodos (what a silly name).
It is one of the melodies that I recorded many years ago on my Fostex multitrack taperecorder. The melody is played on Yamaha HE-8 and Technics SX-C600 organs. The piano arpeggio is played on the little Kawai MS-20 and the rhythm comes from the Roland CR-1000. The solo is played on the Roland SH-2000 and I use the Yamaha PSS-12 for some of the chords."

"Recently got a few new modules so I decided to see what I could do. Running a sequence into the modular via MIDI as well as running the drums and bass. Playing the lead by hand. Everything's in real time. The modular is passing through a Lexicon MX200 and a Behringer Bass V-amp Pro.
Modular: Synthesizers.com
Pad lead: Access Virus C
Bass ' Lead: Sequential Circuits Six Trak
Drum: Casio RZ-1 Circuit Bent"
MIDI Decontroller

"CC control is very important to me - what I really care about is the ability for live control over as many possible aspects of sound generation/effects at the same time.
Actually, inspired by internal architecture of my A5000 I've build something called MIDI Decontroller - I didn't build it form a scratch - I "reshaped" an alesis photon 25 midi controller - which was desperatly boring control surface

"The Dub~Step~Arcade console is an analogue square wave synthesiser based around two popular audio circuit’s, Firstly the dub-siren which is simply a pitch that rises and falls in relation to the speed and wave-shape of an LFO (low frequency oscillator), and secondly the stepped tone generator by Forrest Mims (Known as the Atari punk console) hence the name Dub Step Arcade!"

"1980s vintage Drumfire DF500 analog drum synthesizer... This unit was made in Japan and operates on 117V power, it has an attached 3-prong plug.
There are 5 identical channels, each has the following:
---1/4" trigger input with a sensitivity knob that can accommodate various trig voltages
---oscillator decay
---noise decay
---sweep
---pitch
---click on/off
---osc/noise balance
---volume
---pan (for stereo out)
---1/4" channel audio output
Additionally, there is a stereo output with individual L/R volume pots, a headphone output and a footswitch input. I'm not sure what the footswitch is supposed to do since there is no sequencer to stop/start but everything else is tested and working well."
