BLARP

via contretedog

"For those into cmos/lunetta (!) it already contains, 2 x 4015 shift registers, 6 x 40106 oscs, 4 x XOR gates, 1 Kludgey area, 2 x 3 channel passive mixer each with jack outs (Jacks to be mounted in a flat panel at the top of the console), 2 x AREGVCA as designed by Richarius, 2 x 4069 LFO ala scott gravenhorst (modded for 9v), 1 x 4040 divider (only 5 outputs/divisions utilised). Also since this picture was taken a week ago it also now contains, 1 x passive LP filter controlled via LDR, 4 x 4093 gated oscs, 1 x 4046 VCO, and a 4 input resistance summer/CV mixer.

Not 100% as to what the final modules are to be as yet, I may include another shift register, another VCO and I'd quite like some form of active filter in there...but then I'd like more AREG's...a Sequencer, more oscs...more logic gates, a pseudo ring mod.....the list is endless!"

Continuum Fingerboard - In a Sentimental Mood

"Duke Ellington's beautiful tune played on the Haken Continuum Fingerboard driving Native Instruments' Reaktor software. I did the background track using an Ibanez AR-250 guitar with a Copeland hexaphonic pickup and a pedalboard I built for solo jazz performances.

Tesla Coil Music - Island at the Center of the World - Part II: The Strangers

YouTube via marksmartus2 | January 22, 2011 | 0 likes, 0 dislikes

"Recorded live in Urbana, Illinois on March 7, 2008. This outdoor concert was part of a student-run open house for the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois. Tesla coils were used to create musical pitches via a control system designed by university student Steve Ward. Two coils were used. The right coil is playing a prerecorded Midi track, acting as the bass, and the left one is performed live as a lead sound via the Continuum fingerboard. In spite of the frigid temperatures (4 degrees Fahrenheit, 26 mph winds), the concert was well attended and was voted the most popular event of the open house.

This is the second part of a prog-rock piece by Mark Smart about the history of Easter Island."

Trip to Hell - SWARMATRON Clone - by gattobus
"Headphones strongly recommended.
This is is just a demo to try out my new swarmatron patch made on Nord Modular G2, inspired by the Dewanatron Electronics instrument.
Hear hundred of angels swarming and screaming desperatly at 1:15 -> 2:35.
Almost everything was played with Modular G2 (on multiple tracks) except of course for the drums (elektron machinedrum) and the bassline (Moog Little Phatty).
A little of gleetchlab in the background just to add a little atmosphere and some glitches here and there...
Mounted and mixed with Ableton Live 8.
Enjoy!"
