Analogue Solutions SQ8 CV/Gate Analog Sequencer
via this auctionNoisebug (RSS)
"Analogue Solutions modules are the same physical size and use the same power connectors as Doepfer a100 modules. They will mount in Doepfer eurorack cases and are 100% compatible when patching.
The red stripe on the power ribbon is red line down if used with Doepfer cases.
Included is a eurorack power ribbon and eurorack screws. Analogue Solutions screws available upon request.
When using this module in a Doepfer case, an a-100 ad5 +5v adapter board is required.
Width 18HP (3.5" wide, 5" tall and 4" deep).
Analogue sequencers allow you to program a set of voltages and Trigger events (8 in this case), and allow you to step through them by using a clock signal or LFO square wave. With each step, then next voltage as set by the control is present at the CV output. This way repeating melodic lines can be produces. The sequencer need not control pitch, it could be used to change the filter cut-off, volume, or LFO speed.
The advantage analogue sequencers have over hardware sequencers is firstly their immediacy. Having all the controls, switches and sockets in front of you allows quicker programming. Secondly, as the output is an analogue control voltage and not a digital MIDI signal, the output of analogue sequencers can easly be mixed with other voltages, or processed in some way.
The SQ8 is a single channel sequencer with 8 steps. As it is single channel, larger sequencing systems can be built up by doubling up on sequencers. As they are all separate, you can clock them at different speeds or clock divide ratios.

Analogue Solutions SY02 - Korg MS20 Filter
via this auctionNoisebug (RSS)
"Manufacturer Description:
The SY02 is a multimode filter with a difference. There are separate cut-off and resonance controls for both the hpf and the LPF. This means you can use the SY02 as a LPF, a HPF, or by combining the two you get a BPF. When used as a BPF, it has the advantage over others in that you have control over the band width and the added advantage of two separate resonance controls.
The SY02 can be used on its own as a filter (by turning up the Initial Level0, but it includes a VCA, this means straight away it can be used with envelopes, without the need of a separate VCA.
Controls
Input Level
This sets the input level of the audio signal into the filters.
HPF CV
This sets the level of external CV that affects the HPF cut-off. Set at minimum, the external CV has no effect, set at maximum, the external CV has full effect.
LPF CV
This sets the level of external CV that affects the HPF cut-off. Set at minimum, the external CV has no effect, set at maximum, the external CV has full effect.
Initial Level
This sets the initial level of the VCA. It applies a voltage to the VCA that opens it up. Set to maximum, the VCA will pass signals through at full volume. This would be the normal way of using this control. As the control is turned to minimum, the level of the VCA decrease finally to zero. In this case, an external CV is used to control the VCA level (such as an envelope signal).
HPF Cut-Off
This control sets the cut-off frequency of the HPF. As the controls is increased, more lower frequencies are filtered out (only high frequencies are allowed to pass through).
HPF Resonance
This alters the resonance of the HPF. Set to maximum it will self-oscillate producing a continuous sinewave. In this way the SY02 can be used as a VCO.
LPF Cut-Off
This control sets the cut-off frequency of the LPF. As the controls is increased, more higher frequencies are filtered out (only low frequencies are allowed to pass through).
LPF Resonance
This alters the resonance of the LPF. Set to maximum it will self-oscillate producing a continuous sinewave. In this way the SY02 can be used as a VCO.
Volume
This sets the final output volume of the SY02.
Sockets
VCF IN
Audio input to the filters.
HPF CV
External CV input to control the HPF cut-off frequency.
LPF CV
External CV input to control the LPF cut-off frequency.
VCF Audio Out
This is the audio output from the VCF
VCA IN
Audio input to the VCA
VCA CV
External CV input to control the VCA level.
VCA Audio Out
This is the audio output from the VCA
Note
The SY02 is as close a clone of the MS20 filter as is possible without digital modeling. It uses the same circuit design. It uses all the same components, except for 2. 1 of which will not affect the sound, the other has been superseded by a part that is essentially the same. In all other respects they are the same.
Not all MS20s sounds the same, and for the same reasons not all Filtered Coffees or SY02s will sound identical to each other or the MS20. Reasons could be trimmer setting variations, component tolerances, but these are the consequences of buying analogue! We believe that the FC and SY02 do sound like MS20 filters, if you don't it must be imagined!"

Yamaha E70 organ into Yamaha CS80 synth

Re-Published on Feb 12, 2016
"Customized Yamaha E70 organ into 2 and half Yamaha CS80: uppwe and lower keyboards are 2 polyphonic synths 2 OCS's per voice, 7 voices and monophonic synth with 2 OCS's per voice for bass pedal or extra keyboard. Same heart like CS80, same P.A.S.S. sound technology, same filter. Plus 7 individual outputs, inputs for sustain pedals, 2 general outputs. You can dual upper and lower synths + 2 organs. Sounds like CS80? yes, absolutely, it is CS80,but now it could be much bigger by mixing 2 synths and 2 organs together"
E70 via this auction
"...extremely rare vintage analog home type organ/synth Yamaha D85 in chopped condition. The organ came from original 1st owner. I bought one recently and it was modified into what You see now in the pictures, the organ weight is around 100lbs now( Yamaha YC-45 is 136lbs, CS80 242lbs). Yamaha D85 is basically model the E-70, top line at that time, made in 1977, with the addition of a rhythm sequencer, digital tempo readout, more rhythm variations, as well as Vocal and String Ensembles and 3rd keybed as a synth!!!. You can mix not only different waves, but You can mix keybeds. 3rd small keyboard has phenomenal synth sounds by itself plus AFTERTOUCH!!!, but if You mix with sounds of 2 orchestral presets and active orchestral waves... fattest I've ever heard. Also You can mix 2nd and lower keyboard in any possible way and even to add bass pedal orchestral sounds. D85 was top-of-the-line home console model that used Yamaha's "Pulsed Analog Synthesis System" (PASS) to create more lifelike sounding instruments. PASS took technology from the GX-1 and incorporated it into a consumer model instrument. The ramifications revolutionized the organ industry. Instruments voices began evolving towards emulating the true orchestral instruments rather than theater organ equivalents. Same technololy applied to Famous Yamaha CS80. Strings and voices beat ARP Solina and probably better then on CS80( I had one for a while)and of course much better than YC series including YC30 or YC 45D. Unit has also arpeggiator in 6 variations, sequencer, hold effect and tons of other feature included stupid drum machine. Yamaha D85 is certainly better than YC 45D and this particular one even weights less on 30lbs. I have to say sounds awesome, very rich and unique sound. Organ is practically is in very nice condition, everything looks fine and works fine. I hate to sell even this one, but I simply cannot afford to keep one at this moment. Besides chopping job and whole rewiring was not cheap at all. it's very rare vintage organ and it's hard to find one these days especially in great electronic and cosmetic chopped condition,You wil be shocked how good and sensitive aftertouch on organ and that's piece of history. which give you unique sound not buying Yamaha CS80 for $9000(I can't believe it!!!)"
