"FORMANTA EMS-01 was produced by Katchkanar radio equipment factory "Formanta", which is the manufacturer of such well-known makes of synthesizers as Polivoks, Formanta, Manual, Maestro etc. It bears the same logo on the package and retains some of its most impressive capabilities.
FORMANTA EMS-01 is an electronical music instrument combining a polyphonic organ and a monophonic synthesizer. It is designed to perform music of all genres and to create various sound effects while recording soundtracks for movies and plays, or studio recording. The organ has a 5-octave keyboard, 6 preset sound timbres, frequency vibrato with adjustable vibrato delay, decay adjustment and a stereophaser (both for organ and synthesizer). The "vibrato delay" scheme is activated again only after all the previously pressed keys are released. In the "legato" mode the "vibrato delay" scheme is not activated.Synthesizer has:
— 3-octave keyboard;
— modulator, modulation voltage from which is applied to frequency modulator, width modulator, filter, and amplifier;
— broad band oscillators 1 and 2 (with various waveforms);
— mixer, designed for summation of signals from oscillators 1 and 2, noise generator, external source, and ring modulator;— filter, designed for dynamic and static changing of the spectrum of summarized signal from mixer output;
— amplifier, designed for making the sound corresponding to various parameters of the envelope;
Organ has:— 5-octave keyboard;
— 6 Waveforms;
— Freq vibrato with- Rate, Depth and Delay
— Stereo Phaser (For both organ and synth) with rez level
— Sustain level
Visual division of the synthesizer panel into the above listed sections and their lay-out make it more easy to orientate oneself while setting the required timbre. Besides, the synthesizer is able to simultaneously control one more similar synthesizer through a special cable and connectors CONTR IN and CONTR OUT..."

"Formanta UDS is powerfull 7 channel analog drum synthesizer, produced by the same FORMANTA factory in Kachkanar city where mades famous Polivoks synths in eighties. It has 5 identical channels (which can be used freely) for BASS DRUM, HIGH TOM, MIDDLE TOM, LOW TOM, SNARE and two channels for Hi-hats and Cymbals. The synth has also built-in beatbox with 16 patterns. The beatbox and the synthesizer are independent modules so they can work at the same time freely. And you can tweak the generators of the beatbox patterns. Full freedom. Each channel has trigger Input on a standart 1/4 mono Jack and two additional Inputs for pedals. It can be triggered from drum pads like Simmons or any audio source - Line Outs of the drum machine or soundcard etc. The synth has two parallel mono Outs (1/4 Jack and 5Din) and two parallel stereo Outs (left-right on 1/4 Jacks and 5Din). It also has 5Din socket for Rhythm-Stick hand controller. This is an armoured antitank piece of gear and the sound it produces is very unique!"

"six patches in 8:25 - some of these are 'tonal', some are not. this is patching with abandon.
of special note on these patches are the STG Soundlabs .COM comparator and .MIX moog CP3 based mixer - both of these have incredibly pleasant gain and 'imperfect' attributes.

"here's a further experiment using the separate Control Voltage Inputs to the 3 Oscillators that micromac has- playing three note chords but recorded as a sequencec! This is the sound of 2 x micromac units with the lead solo sounds coming from the sister unit- the Photon! Occassionaly, I wear a hat...please excuse!"

Seline features a completely new, ergonomically designed playing surface called ioGrid, suitable for players with all hand sizes. The melodies are played with two hands, while keeping the iPad on the knees or on the table. Fully adjustable 16-note scale is divided into 2 parts (odd and even), which are then mapped on the left and right grids. Such way of note mapping is beneficial to the existing linear scale mapping solutions as it allows many more improvisation possibilities. And, of course, the player is never out of tune.
The completely redesigned, realistic-looking interface called ioGrid 2.0 brings many improvements to the original ioGrid. The white keys now represent the opposite part of the scale, thus all the scale is available for performance using only one hand. The variable-length note-to-note pitch slides are performed just by sliding between the yellow and the white keys with different speed. Resting your palm on the "pads" at the bottom of the screen allows to pitch-bend each note as on a regular controller.
