Jordan Passmore, Early Electronic Disco Demo of MPC-60, Nord Lead 3

"This is a demo of the Akai MPC-60 Sampler/Sequencer and the Nord Lead 3 synthesizer. The drums are a bit I sampled off a disco record. There is some 909 samples in there as well.

The bassline is the Nord Lead 3. It is running in mask arpeggiator mode and I am altering the notches live here. In terms of effects I am running an Electro Harmonix Holystain reverb on the drums as well as a Washburn Analog Delay and Chorus on the bassline. All sounds were mixed on my Studiomaster Pro-line mixer, then sent to an Electra EQ, then finally into my computer (no vsts or CPU effects were used)."

BIG thank yous to Tomas Karlsson and KRS Jazz for arranging this concert and to the audio engineer students at Axxell, Lappfjärds folkhögskola under supervision by Kalle Teir and Staffan Svarvar for setting up and handling all the audio and light at the show! Equipment used in this song: Roland TR-808, Juno 60, Alpha Juno 1; Korg Micro-preset M500, Polysix, Poly-61, PE-2000; Moog Source; Jomox Air Base 99; Oberheim Matrix 6R; MAM MB33 II; Yamaha RM1x (only for MIDI sequencing); Behringer DDX3216; Lexicon MPX500, as well as a midi patchbay, CV/gate converters, and additional preamps for my mixer."
