"Using $2000 equipment (spectralis) to sequence $50 equipment (Gameboy Advance)... but thought I'd try to make a megaman-esk song. That old school megaman stuff was amazing. What they could do with basic square/triangle/saw waves and some noise, just incredible."

WMD Compressor "in use" video
Published on May 22, 2013 William Mathewson·26 videos
"This is a demo video for the new WMD eurorack compressor module. It shows a range of signals going in and through it to give a good feel how the module sounds. Done in 4 parts, you get to see and hear how sidechaining works, how the saturation stages sound, and practical applications for this extremely flexible modular unit."

Introducing Marmot Audio DIY Services - New Sponsor Shout Out!
I'd like to introduce a new sponsor of MATRIXSYNTH, Marmot Audio!Marmot Audio is an audio services business, based in the UK and owned by composer and sound designer Neil Baldwin.
Marmot Audio offers an audio electronics design & build service to provide access to the vast array of DIY-only products to musicians who lack the time or inclination to undertake the building themselves. They have experience building a wide variety of modular designs, boutique synths, guitar pedals and pro-audio processors. Neil is also one of Mutable Instruments "trusted builders" and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).
As well as electronics building, Neil is also a freelance sound designer and composer. You can get details of the full range of services he offers on the Marmot Audio website.
As a new sponsor of MATRIXSYNTH, You'll find the Marmot Audio banner in the Services section the right. Be sure to check out their site for more.

"Look how excited Yellow Magic Orchestra is for Bob Moog Day tomorrow (what would've been Bob's 79th Birthday)....
Celebrate with us by watching the Moog Movie streaming on our website tomorrow... your boss won't notice.
Love, Your Friends at Moog."
Moog modular in back right. I believe that's Ryuichi Sakamoto leaning on an Ultimate Sound DS-4 Promuzer on the left. Anyone ID the monster modular behind him in the left of the shot? It almost looks DIY.
Update: via the comments, it looks like it's an E-Mu modular.
