New Free Gimmick Graph Synth from Ju-X Designs

"Demonstration of a new version of Gimmick (Free) Audio Unit Plugin Synth.
Gimmick is a software synthesizer that is loaded with a totally new way of synthesis oscillator. Absolutely digital and mathematical. Check it at ju-x.com/gimmick/ for more information. Get it free, today!
Played with: Juno Ju-X's Sequera MIDI Step Sequencer, Native Instruments Kontakt for bass drum, Avid ProTools for recording and a simple delay effect on Gimmick."
"Highlights: Improved drastically from the last Mini version. Still free to grab!
New Graphing Oscillator.
Now you can look and manipulate Gimmick Oscillator by handling graph directly!
Triple fat oscillation and super-low pass filter.
It produces way fat and massive sounds. And absolutely digital.
New translucent UI design.
The first plugin on the earth with a translucent look! Sometime good to watch what’s going on behind it.
Technology: Gimmick’s oscillator draws waveform by setting how many times to twist it in a cycle, then divides it by scanning Up and Down direction, finally player can determine positions of each turning points."
First patch with the Mutable Instruments Braids and Grids Modules (Plucked Synthesis)
First patch with the Mutable Instruments Braids and Grids Modules (Plucked Synthesis) from Richard Devine on Vimeo.
"First patch experiment using the Mutable Instruments Braids Macro oscillator running in "PLUK" mode. Emulating the sound of raw plucked strings that change with the timbre control via damping, and the color knob changing the plucking position. MakeNoise Rene sending out CV notes to the 1-v/oct input and Gate triggers to the Braids trigger input. The output is then running into the Phonogene for light processing. Liquid drum percussion sequencing by three gate trigger outputs from the Grids module. Trigger one going into the Mungo g0. Trigger two going to the DPO for the lower end kick drum emulation. Final output running lightly through a eventide space pedal. "

Electro-Harmonix 8 Step Program - "Get On The Bus"
Published on Jun 12, 2013 EHX·164 videos
Electro Harmonix 8 Step on eBay - It's less than you might think.
"The EHX 8 Step Program plugs into the expression pedal or CV input of other effects pedals and synthesizers delivering rhythmic sequencer control. With eight independent sliders, each controlling a sequence step, it can turn an ordinary auto-wah into a step filter, a tremolo into a syncopated pulse effect and a pitch-shifter into an arpeggiator.
This eye-popping video, shot less than a mile from EHX headquarters at Carousel Studios in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, provides a peak into the sound sculpting power of the new 8 Step Program!

The Generalmusic S2 Turbo Demonstration

via Synthex Jeff on Facebook in response to this post.
"This is my new S2 Turbo from 1993. It is made by Generalmusic (or GEM) in italy. The weigth is 16 kg, so it is a bit heavy. It can store up to 100 performances, it's 16 part multitimbral, 7 sliders and 7 buttons for real-time control, it has a built-in sampler/sample translator and it has 32 voices of polypohony. So there is plenty of stuff put in this synth.
The sound is made by 2 oscillators per voice (so that's 32 in total). The synthesis methods are : PCM, Wavetables, Multiloop, Crossfade Multiwave and Subtractive Synthesis. It has 2 filters per voice (so that's 32 in total again).
They are two 2 pole dcf's or one 4 pole dcf. Both the filters have 5 modes (Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass, Par. Cut, Par. Boost) It has a LFO with sine, triangle, saw, square, random and sample&hold waves.
It has plenty of patches and samples in it. You can load all kinds of data and audio in it via the floppy disk drive. It has very nice pith bend and mod wheels on the place you would expect.
The rear panel is very interesting it has these ins and outs (L to R):
2x Midi in
2x Midi out
2x Midi thru
2x Pedal footswitch
1x Pedal volume controller
1x Left and Right wet outputs
4x dry analog outputs (can be assigned to mono or stereo)
AC in
Because of the many midi ins/outs and thru's and 7 realtime-control sliders and buttons, it would be the ideal midi controller or master keyboard."
