Juno 60 - Live Synthwave

Published on Sep 8, 2014 Autotross

"A live 80s style jam featuring Roland Juno 60 on arpeggio, Korg Electibe on drums and Nord Electro 4 posing as a DX7.

After a lot of trial and error trying to clock my Juno 60's arp with my Korg EMX, I've finally discovered the perfect settings to avoid missed steps or double triggers. And here it is:

1. Pick a drum slot, choose Bass Drum 028.
2. Route its output to the alternate (3/4) jacks.
3. Pitch it all the way up.
4. Turn its volume all the way up.
5. Pan it to the left (and plug in your clock cable into jack 3)
6. Set envelope to slant mode and turn knob fully to the left.
7. Enter rhythm and play!"

Patterns of sequence: Roland MC-303 and Korg ESX

Published on Sep 8, 2014 MIDERA

"Just seeing what this combination is like... I really like the MC-303, but for drums, it can be limiting and difficult to create beats, so the ESX seemed perfect for that!

My first public time lapse is also in here, taken using my Nikon D5100. Enjoy :)"

"A little performance music video I did the other night to show my song creation process... this is still a rough work-in-progress that I'll probably never finish, but still worth hearing all the way through if you can. Featuring the Dave Smith Instruments Mono Evolver Keyboard, the Moog Sub 37 Tribute Edition synth, and the Korg Wavedrum Global Edition. Recorded into Ableton Live 9 Suite with additional Piano track played using the Ableton Push controller.

Video shot with the Fujifilm X-E1 camera. Edited in Final Cut Pro X. Atomic blast footage is from a public domain film found at the Prelinger Archive.

"Vermona synthesizer = AMAZING."

"Everything works great! A previous owner converted the 5 pin din headphone jack to another high out which could be easily reversed but the conventional 1/4" jacks are still stock giving you both high and low outputs. The keys, push-buttons, knobs and wheels work flawlessly and probably will for a long time since this was built using high quality components throughout. The original wooden side pieces had some holes drilled in them over the years so new solid poplar wood ends were installed replacing the veneered press-board originals. I'll also include the original wood sides for the winner to save or possibly restore sometime. I'll pack it extremely well and ship it for free. This is auction is for USA only.

Here is a video of this exact synthesizer playing a solo accompanied by the Solina. It was recorded with my phone but still sounds good enough to demonstrate what this really sounds like."

"Also included is the Eurorack mounting plate should you wish to rackmount this in your setup. I had this mounted but I had to use thinner screws than the standard since the screw holes could do with drilling out slightly. I screwed it into a tiptop rack which has cheap replaceable thread rails. The plate also restricts the movement of CV/KBD when on so there is another hole that would benefit from being drilled out. So while it's fine the plate wasn't created perfect. I'm throwing it in as a freebie rather than ebaying it separately."
