"Played live with no computers, featuring a Korg Volca Bass, Volca Keys, Roland Aira TR-8, Novation MiniNova, Korg KaossPad Quad and Zoom 1201 effects units. Read more for the technical details... The Roland TR-8 controls the tempo of the Volca Keys via MIDI. The Volca Bass plays the main chords and riff but is not synced with any connection. Instead, the Volca Bass has its tempo set to 66bpm (half the track's tempo of 132) in order to create a longer pattern. The Volca Bass plays two sustained chords and is passed through the external input and sidechain of the Roland TR8. The TR8 then cuts the chords into a rhythmic pattern. The Volca Bass is then sent to one of the TR8's assignable outputs and through a Zoom 1201 effects processor which adds a delay effect. I couldn't find a suitable place to set up the camcorder so I did this one-handed with the camcorder in the other."

The Benjolin features two eighteen-octave range voltage controlled oscillators that drive a ‘rungler’ circuit, circuitry that in essence uses a special interference technique feeding back into the oscillators to force them into wild chaotic behaviour.

Happy Zelda Month! If you didn't catch it, I was planning on doing Dragon Roost Island for Video 20 for months now, so it just so happened to land on the first wednesday of November, so I decided to go crazy and do all zelda songs for the entire month of November, in honor of the illustrious PBG.

I really put my own spin on this one, and I really hope y'all appreciate it. While I was messing with the chords, it kept reminding me of one of my favorite Jazz standards, Take Five by Dave Brubeck. The melody also fit really well in 5, so I decided to give the song a swing, drop a beat, and make the song that way. I tried to create a synth jazz combo, using my arturia to make a nice bass tone, and trying to keep the tempest more tame for the jazzy synth drums.

My good friend Peter from Soundole VGM Covers added some sweet flute sounds on his EWI. I hope you enjoy it!
