Aufnahme mit einem seltenen Hammond Synthesizer 102200
Published on Jan 27, 2015 Jimi Grok
"The deep synth sound is a loop from the hammond synth. Also the high sound is the same loop mangled with a plugin. Just the drums are not from the synth .."
YouTube description in German (Googlish further below):
"Hammond Synthesizer 102200

"Hammond Synthesizer 102200
The very rare Hammond Synthesizer 1974-75 was only produced about 200 times. The synthesizer is a monophonic synthesizer with 300 variations.
The top set is for WIND, VOLUME and TUNE.
The button can be pressed in columns individually.
In the TONE SWITCH column, it is also possible to press multiple keys simultaneously.
The column labels from left to right are: Ptich TONE, TONE FILTER FILTER RISE & FALL (WIDTH / Speed) ATTACK DECAY & PITCH BEND and MODULATOR.
There is also a further 6 presets.
Advantageously, I find the TUNE switch, which is better to use as a slider in my opinion as a knob. Unfortunately, the speed of the wave form is not adjustable but all in all the synth ahead of its time.
A video with sound samples of synthesizers follows."

Nova Musik - Mode Machines new products with Julian Calvo Orquin at NAMM 2015
Published on Jan 28, 2015 Nova Musik
Note: the SEQ12 is not new, the others are.
"Check out great deals on Mode Machines products at Nova Musik: http://www.novamusik.com/mode-machine...
Julian Calvo Orquin introduces three new Mode Machines products at NAMM 2015 and provides a direct-in audio demonstration afterwards.
Mode Machines SEQ12 12-Track Matrix Sequencer is a powerful rackmountable step sequencer for MIDI production and live performance. Tracks can be monophonic, polyphonic or put into a special drum mode. It has two modulation busses for MIDI CCs and modulation envelopes can be ‘drawn in’ on its button grid. SAW12 has one MIDI in and three MIDI outs.
Mode Machines ADX1 Analog Drum Machine [based on the MAM ADX1] features five analog drum voices with eight controls per voice for a total of 51 front panel knobs; there are no menus or button combinations—every parameter is instantly available. The five individual channels can be triggered via front panel buttons, via MIDI or via five trigger inputs. ADX1 also has individual outputs for each drum voice as well as a stereo main output.
Mode Machines vPed is a ‘virtual pedal board’ that hosts VST plug-in effects and instruments. Individual plug-ins can be activated and deactivated with a simple press of a footswitch. It also has four expression pedal inputs and four momentary footswitch inputs. Its large color screen and intuitive interface allow quick editing of VST plug-ins without a keyboard or mouse.
Mode Machines CerebelUSB is a small, portable USB MIDI to DIN MIDI converter that transforms any class compliant MIDI USB controller to a standard 5-pin MIDI device. It also functions as a USB hub, merging multiple connected USB controllers into a single MIDI signal."

Nova Musik - Teenage Engineering Pocket Operators with Oscar Ahlgren at NAMM 2015
Published on Jan 28, 2015 Nova Musik
"Check out great deals on Teenage Engineering products at Nova Musik: http://www.novamusik.com/teenage-engi...
Oscar Ahlgren, Development Project Manager for the Pocket Operators project at Teenage Engineering, gives us a quick overview of the PO-16 Factory, PO-14 Sub and PO-12 Rhythm lead, bass and drum synthesizers.
Pocket Operators all feature onboard 16-step sequencers with parameter locks and 'jam sync with audio through' functionality, where a single cable synchronizes clock and transport across PO units while also summing their audio outputs.
PO-12 Rhythm has both synthesized and sampled drum sounds, and its sequencer supports individual step retries and fills.
PO-14 Sub houses multiple real synthesizer engines, including FM, subtractive synthesis, wavetable and physical modeled strings. Its sequencer comes equipped with 16 'punch-in bass oriented play styles.'
PO-16 Factory, too, has multiple real synthesizer engines, including FM, subtractive synthesis, wavetable and physical modeled strings. Its sequencer has 16 punch-in arpeggio and chord play styles.
All three Pocket Operators have 16 onboard effects including delay, bitcrusher and filters. Each also has an auto compressor and hardware limiter."
Nova Musik - Waldorf nw1 wavetable eurorack module with Stefan Stenzel at NAMM 2015
Published on Jan 28, 2015 Nova Musik
"Waldorf Music CEO Stefan Stenzel talks us through the features of Waldorf's new nw1 wavetable eurorack module and gives us a direct-in sound demo afterwards.
Waldorf nw1 is their first eurorack module and includes an advanced wavetable engine with independent control of spectral envelope and 'noisiness,' just like their popular Nave iPad synth.
A library of classic Waldorf wavetables are provided from the Microwave, Microwave II, Wave, and Q synthesizers. The nw1 sound engine also allows for onboard creation of user wavetables—all you need to do is connect any sound source to nw1 to transfer audio into a wavetable."
Nova Musik - Waldorf Zarenbourg piano with Stefan Stenzel at NAMM 2015
Published on Jan 28, 2015 Nova Musik
"Waldorf Music CEO Stefan Stenzel gives us a tour of the sound and interface on Waldorf's Zarenbourg piano, announced several years ago and now shipping in the US.
Boasting an attractive and distinctive design, Zarenbourg features an intuitive LCD-free user interface, a built-in 2.1 speaker system and a premium 76-key Fatar keybed. Its sound engine uses physical modeling for e-piano sounds and true FM synthesis for others. Among its onboard effects are a chorus, flanger, phaser, echo/reverb, auto-way, equalizer, overdrive and tremolo in both stereo and mono."
Nova Musik - Modal Electronics 002 Synthesizer with Paul Maddox at NAMM 2015
Published on Jan 28, 2015 Nova Musik
"Company co-founder and principal designer Paul Maddox of Modal Electronics (née Modulus) walks through the features of his Modal Electronics 002 analog/digital hybrid polysynth at NAMM 2015. After the overview he surfs through some example patches (with direct-in stereo sound).
Using high quality components, the Modal Electronics 002 is a premium product designed to be the flagship in the Modal Electronics range. The keyboard layout includes a semi-weighted, five octave key mechanism and has been ergonomically designed by musicians so that the hands fall naturally and intuitively to the controls. It provides twelve discrete voices of polyphony with full multi-timbrility if required. Adding to the ease of use is a large integral display screen that is context sensitive, i.e. it displays the control parameters of any control knobs immediately when touched by the user. Quick recall banks enable preset sequences and settings to be stored for instant use such as during a live performance. NCOs (numerically controlled oscillators) are used for stability and accuracy while an analogue transistor ladder filter provides classic ‘warm’ sounds."
