RARE FORMANTA P-432 VINTAGE ANALOG POLYPHONIC SYNTHESIZER

" It was a revolutionary synthesizer - it was the first hybrid analog-digital preset synthesizer, has an original digital architecture with an analog filter, the first joystick - X-Y.
fIRST MIDI PROTOCOL STANDART TECH. It was built similar to Korg Poly 800.
FORMANTA P-432 is a polyphonic digital preset synthesizer designed for both solo and ensemble performance. It has a 3-octave keyboard, 32 timbres and 4-voice polyphony. UNISON and CHORUS effects are available. Sound modulation parameters: VIBRATO (with variable frequency and depth), tune adjustment and a joystick for controlling modulation and pitch in the real-time mode. A foot pedal is provided for switching on/off SUSTAIN and VIBRATO parameters.

"The synthesizer has a two-digit display for representing a preset number and some other system parameters. In Formanta P-432, a standard MIDI protocol is used, making it possible to select any one of the 16 MIDI channels and to control the MIDI program change. On the rear panel, the following connectors are situated: MIDI IN/OUT/TRANSIT(THRU), LlNE OUT and SUSTAIN/VIBRATO PEDAL INPUT (standard jacks).

The presettable timbres are the following: el.piano, jz.piano, f.piano, harmonica, accordeon, organ, pipe organ, jz.organ, f.organ, hammond1-2, synth organ, brass org., brass, trumpet, flute, piccolo, clarinet, oboe, cosmic, fantastic, slapsynth, blusesynth, klavecin, klavinet, harpsi, el.bass, jz.bass, bass, mus.box, synth.box.

"The 2600 is one of the finest, best sounding and most sought after analog synths.
The sound and the flexibility of this instrument is amazing and can’t be compared to any other portable analog synth.

This ARP 2600 early “G Clef” version with 4012 filter comes with a 3620 duophonic keyboard.
This synth has some normal age related wear but it is in very nice and complete condition.
The unit is very clean and in excellent shape.

About the restauration :

The unit has been fully disassembled, cleaned, power supply recaped, some old tantal caps replaced and exactly calibrated to factory specs.
Most of the old mini jack connectors had contact problems and have been replaced with new switchcraft mini connectors.
The new connectors are much more reliable and are an exact replacements of the ARP originals.
The keyboard plays great and has been updated with new key bushings.

This 2600 has not been re-tolexed cause we want to keep it as original as possible.
The original tolex is still in good condition with some light wear. The main unit has some spots in the tolex (Tonus version), the tolex of the keyboard looks like new.
All faders run smooth without crackling and look very clean inside. The original speakers are not worn out, work and sound great.

The unit will be shipped with an ARP 2600 manual, a copy of the patch sheets, some patch-cables and original ARP power cable.
The unit is a rare original 230V Europe export version and the power connector is still original vintage
( Wurlitzer, ARP, Oberheim used )
The unit will be shipped complete with casing.

You’ll receive a fully working, serviced and complete ARP 2600 with one year limited warranty."
