MIDI In port allows passthrough of all MIDI messages to the synthesizer
Three modes of operation:
CTRL Mode: Conventional synthesizer control as well as built-in CC conversion allowing synthesizer parameters to be controlled by almost any DAW/sequencer through CC messages
CC Mode: JunoCtrl functions as a generic MIDI controller, sending out CC messages over MIDI to control any hardware/software device or any DAW/Sequencer
DUAL mode: Conventional synthesizer control coupled with CC output and conversion, allowing DAW/sequencer to receive, record and playback physical knob manipulation in real time
For all modes, CC messages and channels are fully assignable
Internal Chord Memory allows for faster chord memory setup and playback on the MKS-50
Snapshot and Snapshot Trigger functions allows for all parameters or a specific set of parameters to be updated simultaneously"

"Acid8 is a fun and easy to use hybrid digital/analog acid machine controlled by a powerful step sequencer.

The heart of Acid8 is an 8-BIT oscillator that can be manipulated to the extreme. You have 16 waveforms to choose from and can even redraw your own! You can apply up to 5 dsp effects at once, invert bits of the didigtal signal for weird harmonics and effects, link the env mod to pitch for percussive sounds and more!

All signal beyond the oscillator is 100% analog offering a punchy VCA and gritty resonant low pass filter.

The built-in step sequencer has all the functionality you would expect from an acid machine and is very easy to use so you’ll be composing patterns effortlessly.

Edit, copy/paste & randomize patterns in real-time without having to stop the sequencer. 8 levels of swing are available to get your grooves going – swing and waveshape info are stored within the pattern!

via the seller: "Sold as-is because it's missing the music keyboard, alphanumeric keyboard, monitor, and light pen. I will post a video of it playing a music sequence, the only issue I've noticed functionally is with the floppy drives, they are really old and not totally reliable with booting or loading pages. Excellent as a spare cpu for your IIX system, I am selling only because I have three complete Fairlights now. Note that because this was an upgraded Series I machine it does not have MIDI but it is a IIX, it runs page R and has CMI-01A channel cards and the newer dual 6809 cpu setup."

Tubbutec Modysex mods

This is an excellent mod that replaces the key assigner chip with a custom one. It adds a lot of features and most importantly midi in and out! Theres a lot to list here but the arpegiator has step sequencer and you can have poly unison too. Heres a short list of the features and a video explaining them. [video here - note this Polysix does not appear to have the additional Spread knobs in the video.]
