The user can dial in everything frøm micrøsøund blips, tø drawn øut gøngs, tø screeching mutated beasts. When in løøping møde the GMØ can be viewed as a mutated VCØ, cømbining the best elements øf granular and wavetable synthesis. Its løw resølutiøn øutput means løts øf side-band mødulatiøn, nøise, and møst impørtantly: character. This beast is best understøød in practice rather than in theøry."

Deschutes Mirror Pond (one of my favorite beers), cashews, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and the Sequential Prophet-6 Operation Manual. Not a bad way to spend a morning. Why is it I'd likely peruse towards the Prophet-6 manual myself in that situation? :) Which would you chose?

"Using Maschine and Doepfer Dark Link to sequence an FM patch.
Patch:
Malekko Richter Oscillator 2 is being FM'd by Pittsburgh Oscillator Sine.
Then Osc 2 Sine and Tri into each of Malekko Borg Dual inputs in low pass gate mode with full gain.
Then out to Malekko VCA
Dual ADSR is opening the filter and VCA at different rates.
Velocity from Dark Link is going the level on Dual ADSR for the filter
Then out to the 4MS Dual Looping Delay.
PBurgh Osc is the clock for the delay, creating audio rate delays."
Upcoming Dato DUO Mini Dual Hardware Synth and Sequencer Adds MIDI Support
Some great news in via the Dato DUO Kickstarter campaign. The Dato DUO will have both MIDI In and Out support!
"We received many requests for MIDI on the Dato DUO. The DUO already plays nicely with other gear like Volca's and Pocket Operators but we agree that just syncing isn't enough.
We have been crunching the numbers and stretching our design skills for the last few days and we have good news for you: we will be including full-size MIDI IN and OUT connectors on every Dato DUO!
Using the output, you will be able to use the DUO's sequencer to play notes on other MIDI gear. The input will be used to enter notes into the sequencer or play the synth. This makes the Dato DUO suitable for serious music production too.
We'd love to hear which MIDI gear you will be hooking up to the DUO!"
You can reach out to them via the contact link on their Kickstarter campaign page here. They are currently at $16,025 of their $67,062 goal with 25 days to go. If you are interested in seeing this fun little synth happen consider giving your support. Even if you can't afford to purchase one now, you can support them for as little as €5/$6.
P.S. You'll find a banner for them on the top right section here on MATRIXSYNTH. You can get to their campaign page anytime by clicking on it.
Experimenting with the VBrazil Systems Modules
Published on Jun 1, 2016 Ícaro Ferre
"My goal for this patch was to try to create an interesting patch using my VBrazil Systems modules (Aether Oscillator, MultiLFO and Lizard 2 mk2) and some Intellijel modules (Triatt, µVCA, and µScale).
While this may not sound extremely musical to some people, this patch can easily be modified to be a lot simpler and 'standard'.
Here's a brief explanation of the patch: Lizard2 is being used as a Sequencer and 8-stage switcher. The sequencer output is being attenuated by the Intellijel Triatt and quantized by the Intellijel µScale mk2.
The sine output of the Aether VCO is going straight into the Intellijel µVCA and the output of the Lizard 2's switcher is patched into the FM input of the Aether. The other outputs of the Aether Oscillator were patched into the 8 inputs of the Lizard 2's switcher.
In order to create an envelope for my synth voice, I'm using the LFO 1 in the MultiLFO module as a simple AR envelope. I've managed to achieve satisfactory results by setting the waveform to SAW, frequency to LOW, and patching the Square output of Lizard 2 into the HSYNC input of the LFO 1 (to trigger the envelope).
The output of the LFO 1 is then patched into the CV input of the µVCA.
LFOs 2 and 3 from the MultiLFO module are also being used to control LFO 1's Frequency / length (via CV Width input) and Phase (shape).
I apologize for the video quality. I had to record it with my iPad so the quality is not amazing.
