A quarter for perspective on size. Note the wires on bottom are functional:

"This little crazy synth was designed and hand made by electronic music visionary Peter Blasser. There is nothing like it in the world. I’ve already filled it with a whole bunch of awesome patches but you can program your own from you computer with the FISH editor, available here: http://shbobo.net/

I bought this from Peter a little over a year ago and have used it very little. It is in perfect condition and looks beautiful. It is the most recent version with the audio input jack (see pictures) so it can be used as a wacky sound processor. You play it by gently squeazing it to flex the wooden bars that then sent out digital information to the onboard ARM Cortex M3 32 bit processor. There are antennae on the bottom that sense flesh and distance. The buttons can also be programmed to do stuff. Plus the 8 red lights turned on and off to indicate activity. Or as Peter writes, 'Four bars on top feel your fingers and two woven antennae below sense flesh, complimented by a battery of buttons. There are red lights.' I put four rubber feet on the bottom so it’s easier to pick up.

The sounds on this thing are awesome and unpredictable and very interactive. This instrument is a must for any sound designer, experimental musician or forward thinking DJ."

Tycho - Full Performance (Live on KEXP)

Published on Sep 25, 2014 KEXP

This one is in via MATRIXSYNTH reader and supporter Simo Saukko. Guitars dominate, but synths are definitely featured. I thought it was pretty cool they use a Moog Little Phatty 4:27 for the lead line. Also worth noting are the slim wood side panels on the Access Virus. It gives it a whole new look, and rather nice one imo.

"http://KEXP.ORG presents Tycho performing live in the KEXP studio. Recorded August 1, 2014.

"32 divided by 0" - Mother 32 & Make Noise 0-Coast Semi-modular

Published on Jan 16, 2017 Lost For Words

"Headphones recommended.

After tuning both to the same pitch I got the Mother 32 to play a short sequence and to also play the 0-Coast via patching only. (The midi cable going into the Mother 32 is purely to start the sequencer when I hit record in my DAW)

Some of the patching :

0-Coast RANDOM into the slope TIME and also the TEMPO on Mother 32 so that the sequenced notes are played at varying tempos

KB (keyboard) on Mother 32 to 1V/OCT on 0-Coast for pitch syncing

LFO TRI on Mother 32 to DYNAMICS on 0-Coast to modulate the volume of the 0-Coast sounds (sweeps in and out)

0-Coast triangle OSC in to the Mother 32 EXT AUDIO for a thicker 2nd osc sound"

"This Arp has been recently gone over by Phil Cirocco of CMS/Discrete Synthesizers.
Power Supply has been rebuilt, all sliders, boards and contacts cleaned, and the keyboard case hardware has been replaced. Unit has been fully calibrated. One of the internal speakers does not work. Otherwise it is in excellent condition!"
