Relaxation Music with Tibetan Singing Bowls and Synthesizers - VR 360° Video (Live Synth Jam)

Published on Apr 16, 2017 Ralph Baumgartl

Some 360° synth spotting. You'll need a browser other than Safari that supports it though.

"This Live Synth Jam is our first attempt at Relaxation and Meditation Music. My friend Bernie was using various Tibetan, Thai and Burmese Singing Bowls, Gongs and Chimes, which were recorded with a Zoom H2N audio recorder and mixed together with the Synthesizer and Keyboard recording from the mixer. This was a spontaneous idea to try out something that we haven’t done before. The video is VR 360°.

The gear list for the Synth Rig: Roland JD-Xi, Mini Korg-700, Minimoog Voyager, Memotron, Korg Micro-X, Strymon BigSky, Strymon Timeline, Zoom MS-70CDR."

KORG monologue dual space jam session (eventide space + EQD space spiral)

Published on Apr 16, 2017 ollilaboratories

"If you like my stuff, please support me on http://music.ollilab.com/

Been doing too much uptempo lately so I decided to slow things down a bit and do a proper space jam session with the KORG monologue.. .and what could be better than using two space pedals for this? :) The eventide space and the earthquake space spiral!

The signal is hot because that's just the way I like it.. I'm actually driving the space spiral with the monologue and its ooh so nicely cracking up just a little bit, and then even more when I turn up the filter resonance. Yum !

Some people say it is very cold in space... I can assure you it's not

gear used, KORG monologue into the space spiral, then to the eventide space straight to 2 track.

Hope you like it !"

Polaxis - Talko

Published on Apr 16, 2017 DivKidVideo

"The Talko from Polaxis is a great sound source whether it's for percussion, FX, or machine like evil vocals laying over your latest beats and drones. The general tone is fantastic and characterful even with low or high pitch and really slow glacial movement through the words, numbers and phrases. You can get creative with your sequences, MIDI or keyboard playing and play through the sounds forming your own sentences and speeches."

Roland SH5 Oscillator & Filter Tweaking

Published on Apr 16, 2017 Meta Function

"In this video, Meta Function demonstrate oscillator & filter modulation on a Roland SH5.

The SH5 is arguably the greatest mono synth Roland ever manufactured. The SH5 features two filters that run in parallel: a state variable 24dB diode ladder filter that can be modulated via a variety of sources and a static parametric 6db bandpass filter.

The bandpass filter is possibly the most chewy, knarly filter available on any synth and weirdly is not available on any other Roland synth (including the System 100). This puppy screams.

In this video oscillator one and two feature PWM via a triangle LFO. The state variable 24dB diode ladder filter is set to lowpass and is modulated via a S&H LFO. Due to the parallel filter topology, interesting timbres can be heard whilst the SVF is modulated by an LFO and the bandpass is tweaked by hand.

Sequenced via a Sequentix Cirklon.

Audio recorded via Calrec S2 console and SSL convertors. All dry, no FX, EQ or compression. The only post production performed was normalization.

Watch at 1080p with good quality audio monitoring for the best experience.

Meta Function developed the Max For Live synthesizer, the Wave Junction in partnership with Sonicstate.com. A four voice paraphonic synth with 2 multi-mode osc, three multi-mode filters, 5 LFOs, 5 Envs and a 12 slot modulation matrix.

You can buy it from Sonicstate right here for £19.95:

Note: Ableton Live 9.6.1 and Max4Live 7.2.2 required."
