Frap Tools - Fumana - Parametric Scanning

Published on Feb 16, 2018 DivKidVideo

1. Frap Tools - Fumana - Parametric Scanning
"After my first patch video here's the next in the #FumanaFridays series of videos with the Frap Tools Fumana. Here I go in depth with the parametric scanning options with single inputs, stereo inputs (going left to odd band input and right to even band input), mono outputs (all out), stereo outputs (not really stereo but hard panning the odd and even band outputs), modulating amplification or attenuation of one of several bands depending on the frequency and Q/width settings. It's a gorgeously smooth and buttery sounding unit that makes complex tonal shifts and sounds really easy."

2. Frap Tools - Fumana *First Patch*
"God this Fumana is gorgeous! It's several bands of fixed filter banks (band pass filters) that isolate the sound and let you pan, scan, morph and tilt your way around the filters beautifully. It's got a great set of fixed frequencies that really make basic waves speak very vocal and formant like. Enjoy my literal first patch with just an AJH Synth MiniMod VCO saw wave into it and some LFOs modulate through the bands. Full demo in the near future. Cheers!"

Monday 2:22AM: a Live Jam with Dreadbox NYX, Elektron Digitakt, and friends

Published on Feb 16, 2018 Olivier Ozoux

"This track started as a quick background music for my video about the Pyramid Mk1 vs Mk2, but turned out to be really good, so I decided to keep working on it and turn it into a real track.

This is also the first time the Dreadbox NYX makes an appearance, and I love it's foghorn-like reverb!

Dreadbox NYX: reverb-drenched melody
Elektron Digitakt: drums

"The Volca Sample is monophonic multi-part sampler with a step sequencer, performance controls, and effects. It is fun to play. Here you can watch me play it, if you want.

Using a custom bank of samples, many of which are from the Legowelt sample archive: https://awolfe.home.xs4all.nl/samples..."

Manhattan Analog - Steiner Synthasystem VCF

Published on Feb 16, 2018 DivKidVideo

"After my first patch jam video earlier in the week [posted here] here's the full video demo with the Steiner Synthasystem VCF from Manhattan Analog. As you'd expect, it's a fantastic sounding filter! Details and timing index below.

I should say this is an official re-issue of the Steiner VCF, to quote Jason from Manhattan Analog "this is a faithful (and officially licensed) re-issue of the Synthasystem VCF, built largely from the original schematics which Nyle was generous enough to share with me."

TIMINGS / INDEX
00:51 Intro / feature run down
01:58 Low pass sweeps (varying res and drive / input level)
03:50 Band pass sweeps
04:20 High pass sweeps
04:57 Envelope modulation
06:03 Bassline synth riff
08:39 Complex input signals (pitch tracking, modulation etc)
13:07 Audio rate modulation
15:44 Filtering drum sounds"

Vermona PERfourMER mkII - First sounds

Published on Feb 16, 2018 Simon Chauvin

"Just received the Vermona PERfourMER mkII: a 4 voice analog synth.

I instantly fell in love with the very warm and deep analog sound, the endless sonic possibilities offered by having full independent access to each voice, and the overall playability (big knobs, very intuitive layout) !

The sequence starts with only 1 voice (bass), using the square wave and some nice edgy filter envelope. I then add a sub layer with a sine wave, pitched-modulated by an LFO. The last 2 voices (respectively sawtooth and square waves, and panned left and right) enter with the kick, adding higher pitched notes."

Live! Jam with Space X Starman: Volca Beats/ PO-12/ Alchemy/ Xynthesizr/ minijam hub

Published on Feb 16, 2018 Kalkartronic

"Space X Starman has a passenger! 😂
Put on my knitted space suit and my protective space helmet, beamed me up and sat besides Starman to jam around. Since there is no sound in space due to lack of atmosphere, I plugged the output of the minijam hub mixer into Starman's helmet radio, so he could enjoy the ride. Don't know whether he liked it or not - he did not show any emotion.... 🤔
Gear set-up: iPad in iStudio frame running Alchemy and Xynthsizr (being the master Midi clock for the Volca Beats), sync-out of the Volca Beats to sync-in of the Teenage Engineering PO-12 (bass and snare). All mixed mono with minijam hub.
Thanks a lot for watching, likes and subscribes!"
