New Electro-Harmonix Mono Synth Guitar Synthesizer

Published on Feb 12, 2019 EHX

See if you can recognize the songs. :)

"EHX unveils the Mono Synth which transforms a guitar into 11 different synthesizers… from vintage synth emulations to fat, stacked voices to soaring lead synth sounds and more.

The Mono Synth was designed to work on guitar without any modifications, special pickups or MIDI implementation. Its intuitive layout makes it user friendly. The pedal’s DRY dial adjusts the dry guitar volume at the Synth Output while SYNTH controls the volume of the synthesizer sound at the Synth Output. Used together they let a player fine tune their mix. The SENS control, short for sensitivity, adjusts how playing dynamics trigger the synthesizer and tailors the pedal’s response to the guitarist’s instrument and playing style.

A key parameter for each of the 11 synth types can be adjusted via the CTRL knob. It varies depending on the preset and provides enhanced “tweakability.” There is also an EXP input that lets the player control an entirely different parameter in real-time with an expression pedal.

EHX Founder, Mike Matthews, stated: “From string-like synths, to aggressive resonant sounds and deep drones and bell-like tones, the Mono Synth puts a collection of hot synthesizers at your fingertips.”

The Mono Synth comes equipped with an EHX 9.6DC-200mA power supply.

Quick Specs:

- Features eleven great sounding, mono synth sounds

- Easy to use controls let you dial in the sound you want quickly

- EXP pedal input for real-time expressive control with your foot

- Create, save and recall eleven user presets, one for each of the eleven synth sounds

- EHX 9.6VDC-200mA power supply included

- Current Draw: 125mA @ 9VDC

- Dimensions in inches: 4.0(w) x 4.75(l) x 2.25(h)

- Dimensions in mm: 102(w) x 121(l) x 58(h)"

Filter Guessing Game - Moog Grandmother vs Sub 37

Published on Feb 12, 2019 Noir Et Blanc Vie

"Soooooo, I thought, why not compare the filters in the Sub37 and the Moog Grandmother. Their design is a bit different. This test is FAR from perfect because, uhhh I’d never watch a video of just someone not talking just comparing filters, so why not try and guess in a game, could be fun...see how much the filters sound the same with raw oscillators. Whatever ;)

P.S. I know the Grandmother can be “duophonic” but that requires another external CV control and I didn’t want to include features outside of what the synth can natively accomplish. So whoever states that in the comments section of this video hoover off hahah"

KORG PROLOGUE | Pads, arps & ambient soundscapes 【SYNTH DEMO】

Published on Feb 12, 2019 synth4ever

"Synth demo of the Korg Prologue 8-voice analog synthesizer, filmed at Moog Audio (www.moogaudio.com) in Montreal, Quebec Canada.

The Korg Prologue comes in both 8-voice and 16-voice models and features 2 VCOs (saw, triangle, square) + digital multi engine oscillator (noise/VPM/User wave).

It has a lowpass VCF, 2 envelopes, osc sync, ring modulation, cross modulation, 1 LFO, mixer, mod & delay/reverb effects, arpeggiator, and 61 velocity-sensitive keys.

The Korg Prologue is a flagship polyphonic analog synth from Korg in the "logue" lineup, including Korg Minilogue, Korg Monologue, and Korg Minilogue XD.

The Korg Prologue is well suited to ambient pads, soundscapes, arpeggiator jams and textures. The digital Multi engine + 2 analog VCOs allow for hybrid sound design and the ability to layer, crossfade and split two timbres enables complex tones to be created.

In this Korg Prologue sound demo I go through some pads, a lead and ambient arpeggiator patches/presets to showcase the Korg Prologue's softer side."

"The MX65 is a lovely sounding vintage string synthesizer with that classic warm sound. This synth is comparable to a Solina or Roland Saturn string synth with features like ensemble and basic but useful tone shaping of filter, envelope and vibrato settings.

This instrument is in great condition and was recently serviced by our in house repair technician."
