Elastic Drums Update 2.3 demo feat. multiple outs for IAA hosts

Published on Jul 18, 2019 Oliver Greschke

Update: "Louder version ... the previous one was a bit low in volume ..."

"In this video I am showcasing what you can do with the new multiple outs feature of update 2.3. In your preferred InterApp Audio host you can now route up to 6 of Elastic Drums channels separately, to use different effects on them as on the master output. You might want to add some great sounding reverbs/delays on a synth of ED, or you might want to add some extra compression to the kick, a great room effect on the snare, whatever ... with the free update you now can do :)

When you route a channel to IAA, it internally gets disconnected form ED's master out and from the ED's effects. I think this makes sense, otherwise it could lead to confusing results."

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #76: Casio VZ-10m - Song 1

Published on Jul 18, 2019 Christian's Sonic Spaces

"This is the first song with the VZ-10m. It's a 16 voice 8-part multitimbral digital synthesizer based on Casio's iPD Phase Distortion Synthesis. This time the outcome of the session was a relaxing, dreamy track.

I used for the recording the following FX:
Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe, GFI System Specular Reverb 2

The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC via USB for recording. To create the complete song I created and recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. The final song was then mastered with a bit EQ and compression on some tracks and some limiting on the master track."

Track: "Believe" - 125 BPM synth pop on Zoom ARQ-96, Yamaha EX5, Piano

Published on Jul 17, 2019 Floyd Steinberg

"Here's a track done with the ARQ-96 and the EX5 (using my soundset ;-) ) The ARQ does all the important stuff here, sequencing, playing samples, filter movements, synth&drums. Most of the synth sounds are from the ARQ, pads and lead are from the EX5.

Tried to emulate the Pet Shop Boys' later releases a little bit, to be honest."

Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Revision 3.3 demo of all 120 factory patches

Published on Jul 17, 2019 Vykaar Tones

"Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Revision 3.3 demo of all 120 factory patches recorded flat with no equalisation or effects. This one is a virgin without midi - for people who have hands. I have limited keyboard skills but I think you can get a good idea of what is possible with this classic analog from my half an hour of random noodling. This one is in nice cosmetic condition having been stored in a cupboard unused for over twenty years... Originally bought from Rod Argent's keyboard shop in Denmark Street London when I was working there in the 1980s. Now available for sale if anyone is interested - it has been cleaned, tuned and the keys have been re-bushed so it sounds and feels like new."
