"Roland JP-08 (Jupiter-8) JUNO-DS ARP & Drums Syncing"
This is a very simple video to get folks jamming with their
JUNO-DS & other external hardware synthesizers.
You will have to assign control change #'s (CC's) to
the 4 assignable knobs on the JUNO-DS to get the
JUNO-DS to send midi sysex / cc's to external gear.
After that this jam can be attempted.
I'll make a video for that later if anyone wants me too!
Since the JUNO-DS pattern sequencer does NOT
transmit midi out this method can help you JAM
with at least the ARPEGGIO & Drum Patterns!

Recorded into Ableton LIVE with no extra FX! ;)

Thank you for watching!"

#Jamuary2020 07, Arturia MicroFreak, Zoom MS-70CDR, A Quiet Walk in the Park

Published on Jan 25, 2020 Waveformer

"A simple ambient jam on the Arturia MicroFreak and Zoom MS-70CDR.

My music on Bandcamp: http://waveformer42.bandcamp.com/

The patches for the MicroFreak and the MS-70 are included below.

All is improvised using the arpeggiator and a custom patch on the MicroFreak, and delays and reverb on the MS-70. One of the delays shifts the note a fifth up on each delay, so the arpeggiated chords will typically get an added seventh (from the thrid) and ninth (from the fifth), and sometimes even a eleventh (if I play the seventh). During the jam, I play around with filter and envelopes, as usual, trying to find sweet spots along the way.

The Zoom MS-70CDR patch is included below. To load a patch into the MS-70, connect your MS-70 to your computer using a USB cable, go to https://g200kg.github.io/zoom-ms-util..., right-click an available patch slot, select "Import Patch from text", and paste in this text.

#jamuary2020 Day 25 - Elektron Digitone

Published on Jan 25, 2020 Oscillator Sink

"Preparation is everything, and in this case of today's jam that couldn't be any truer. This is a generative pattern on the Digitone that I spent a few hours putting together just to hit play and let it do its thing.

This is the soundtrack to a dark place; music to be unsettled to...'

Korg ARP 2600 FS Hands-On Demo

Published on Jan 25, 2020 Synthtopia

"At the 2020 NAMM Show, we talked with product specialist Nick Kwas about the new Korg ARP 2600 FS.

The Korg ARP 2600 FS is a very close recreation of the original, with full-size synth & keyboard, lids and road case.

It sounds massive, too, and everything is immediately available on the front panel for you to grab and tweak."

"At the 2020 NAMM Show, synth pioneer Dave Smith gave us an in-depth introduction to the latest Sequential synthesizer, the Pro 3.

In the video, Smith covers the architecture of the Pro 3, including the oscillators and filters, demonstrates the Pro 3's sequencing capabilities, covers connectivity, the differences between the standard and special edition and more.

Note: The sound gets pretty extreme around 8:00 in."
